On my keister
Deadmarsh, Liles and Foote were for sure the ones I figured that would be questioned, maybe some others as well. I just enjoyed those 3 players on and off the ice when they played (Or in Liles case, still doing tv things for the team)
There's no question on Foote. For a time he was likely the best defensive dman in the game.

Deadmarsh was tracking to become a player belonging to these lists, but injuries cut that short. Like you, though, I've got a soft-spot for him.

I used to have Liles on these types of rosters in my head (they help me fall asleep sometimes), but as time has gone by he's slipped. Just no room for him with Makar, Foote, Blake, Bourque, Toews, and Ozolinsh. And then I've got Erik Johnson. Liles is in there after with Barrie. That line-up is vastly improved in recent years with Makar and Toews. The Avs haven't had a lot of outstanding D. I'd be tempted at times to include Nordiques, but for what? One great season of Duchesne? Mario Marois?

A couple of these picks are kind of cheap, but since there are no rules, this one’s just for fun:

Francis Lemieux Jagr
Robitaille Crosby Iginla
Stevens Malkin Kessel
Tocchet Trottier Recchi

Coffey Murphy
Letang Gonchar
Karlsson Zubov

Fleury
Barrasso
Murray (huge part of 2 Cup wins)

You forgot about Claude Lemieux. Maybe not a regular season powerhouse, but come playoff time...

No Thornton, JT or Brian Leeych?

Cujo, Eddie, Rask, Murray, Fuhr?

There are tons of great players that came through well past their prime that could be on this list.

I think it makes more sense to take into consideration how the players actually were for the team. And to a lesser extent, tenure.

Leetch on the Buds, Adam Oates on the Oilers, or Mats Sundin on the Canucks is just kinda dumb IMO. It's much more fun to pick meaninful players who were fan favourites, played integral roles, and were a part of the culture and history of the club. That's why a guy like RNH probably deserves to be on the all-time Oilers squad for instance, even if there are "better" centres / LWers available.

Probably not the best Bruins, but tried to pick guys that were with us most of their careers and that sort of make a complete team instead of just the best scorers. Some nasty in this lineup too.

Bucyk-Esposito-Neely
Marchand-Bergeron-Pasta
Marcotte-Krejci-Middleton
Axelsson-O’Reilly-Cashman

Orr-Bourque
Chara-Shore
Smith-Milbury

Rask
Cheevers

Schmidt, Park, Clapper notable omissions. Adam Oates.

Made a simple adjustment :)

Yes... Islanders were absolutely great and undefeatable. Talent, grit, netter and coaching.
Habs, Oilers and Islanders were in my opinion, the best of thy NHL dynasties.

The dynasty was awesome. I thought you meant 3rd out of these all time teams. They’ve been pretty mediocre outside of the dynasty that I don’t think their all time team is very strong

I feel like tenure should be considered, like Gretzky is Edmonton, Lindros is Philly, Oates is Washington, Jagr is Pittsburgh, etc.

Jagr, Paul Coffey and Kevin Stevens played in Boston, but they were way past their prime and I’d never think of either one as a Bruin

Out of curiosity with regards to your comment about guys like Heatley... Why do you then have both Stutzle and Karlsson?

What do you mean man?

Seeing Arizona field Pronger and Weber side by side on the blue line

With a forward core of any of the following (in random order)

B. Hull-P. Datsyuk-M. Hossa
T. Hall-S. Doan-K. Tkachuk
J. Roenick-O. Jokinen-P. Nedved
P. Kessel-K. Turris-C. Keller

HM
R. Whitney-A. Tanguay-G. Laraque

A defensive core of

C. Pronger-S. Weber
K. Yandle-E. Jovanovski
M. Schneider-J. Lumme

HM to OE. Larson-J. Demers

With you choice of goalies
N. Khabibulin
C. Joseph
M. Smith
I. Bryzgalov

I'd say that the Coyotes had a chance at a quality playoff team there.

No rules, so they're all in their prime.

I know he said no rules but I think the Canucks need at least one rule...
