I think we need a few more threads discussing McAvoy's next contract

A few options:

1.) What color underwear will McAvoy be wearing when he signs his contract extension..... IF he signs his extension.

2.) If McAvoy is in the woods at the time of signing his contract, and a tree falls, he may hear the sound, but do we believe him?

3.) Should we trade McAvoy for a time machine and bring back a prime Bobby Orr, who will not make anything close to McAvoy?

4.) Why do some fans constantly want to watch the Bruins burn and suggest trading yet another superstar?

on # 4, we know the answer…these are fans who think the window for this core is closed, Always believed Rask was incapable of winning a cup despite his overall brilliance, think the finals appearance vs the Blues was the product of good fortune rather than being driven by the fact that they are a good team, etc.

They’d rather experience the pain of a rebuild than muddle through hoping for the right breaks and a key trade deadline acquisition etc in hopes of winning it.

reality is the Bruins don’t operate with the full rebuild mentality so it ain’t gonna happen. I’m glad for that.

There have been a few posters who have said that if McAvoy wants too much money, trades should be looked into.

The thing here is that none of it will happen. They say that in the hypothetical that he gets paid 10M+++ which is what they are responding to because way too many posters think he's should or will be getting that much. But he won't get paid that much , he'll sign for fair market value and everyone can chill out and get back to reality.

For those who don’t subscribe to THG. He’s not an insider or anything, just a fan of the Game who does a nice job of keeping up with the NHL and puts out a fair amount of content, which is nice during the off-season. I thought some of you might enjoy his Season preview for the Team.

I watch his content all the time. He manages to be very objective which is nice. He's a Bruins fan but seems to cheer for several teams. Quite informed and raises many good points and opinions. Best one non- media guy on YouTube IMO.

The guy seems spot on with his assessment of the Bruins Imo.

Chara left for a year to allow Bergeron to take what was rightfully his, the C.
Now that Bergy has it, we should take Chara back, let him play the 6-7 dman role, specifically against the Reeves, Wilsons's, etc
But.....with Reilly, Forbort, Gryz, Vaak, Zboril, the LD is already crowded.
The RD is crowded as well with McAvoy, Carlo, Clifton, Moore.
9 NHL Dmen without Chara.......does Vaak/Zboril need to clear waivers in order to get sent down?

Moore is a LD. RD isn't crowded. It is an area of concern.
