I have a hard time rewarding Dougie with moving up to PP1 with how putrid his D has been lately. Like earn the promotion and take care of your back end game first. Plus he's totally pinched at the wrong times leading to breakaways and SHGs. Maybe tell him he can move up if he tightens up his play to motivate him.

He probably needs a healthy scratch benching first before we promote him to PP1.

Let him think about his game and what he needs to do. Then put him back in the lineup and to give him extra confidence say we are going to give you PP1 time.

There’s no defending Vitek, he’s bad

Like I keep saying, I think he’ll be fine on another team, but he’s finished here. There’s no coming back from last year’s playoffs until the scenery has changed.

He’s irredeemable here and no one has any confidence playing in front of him here anymore.

Sorokin literally made a save on Palat in the slot 45 seconds in the game, don't let that change your narrative about the defense. Devils played like the 2000 Devils and the goalie still gave up 2 goals last game.

Fitz is one of the best GM's in the league and criticizing him constantly on the goaltending based off of this off-season is simply not understanding the goaltending market and what was available this summer.

Off season goalie market is one thing, but if you think Vitek and Ruff are the problem, they are (still) here because of Fitz.
