Being strongly on Fitz side. He has a stacked lineup, it's his choice to fire Ruff. This season is totally lost by keeping him employed. You gotta pivot in hard times. That's why Lou had 3 cups. He literally fired a coach in a cup winning season. Fitzgerald refuses to fire a coach with a stacked team outside of the playoffs. It's a loser mentality.

This was all around. Our goalie blows. The defense is trash. Timo is not even an NHL player. Our coach doesn't know how to use a timeout. Our forwards can't score until score effects become a thing. It's all around bad. If VV plays much better maybe we lose by 1 instead of 2. But hell, even if we won the game with VV stealing it, it would be utterly unsustainable as many of us pointed out with several of the early season victories when Jack was carrying the team on his back.

This season is over. We need a healthy Dougie and Seigs back. We need a coach who doesn't galaxy brain everything and run a country club with all but a couple players, and yes, we need a goalie too. It's too late to fix it all this season and it would be ridiculously short sighted and ultimately pointless to bring in a mediocre goalie for premium assets at the deadline to try to miss the playoffs by a few less points.

You have said 'this season is over' a lot, including last year after 2 losses. I won't argue with people whose cope is to be the most negative version of yourself.

The defense is not trash, and there isn't a country club. This team can still make the playoffs. They do need a goalie, though.

These are the games that will cost them a playoff spot. The ones they should be winning. Pretty much healthy lineup minus Siegenthaler. Vitek needs to be sent to the minors. The powerplay has f***ed them out a few wins easily this season as well. It's as ice cold as it has even been in the 20 plus years I've watched this team. We better not trade for anyone at the lineup because this team isn't anywhere close to sniffing a cup with the way they have been playing this season.

Holtz was on Hughes’ line for the whole game until the last 7-8 minutes or so. He played really well…almost connected on a goal with Jack.

Meier-Haula-Mercer was by far the worst line tonight.
