Bratt wasn't scoring on the PP anyways.

I watched the four goals. My breakdown.

1. Goal one, I couldn't tell whether there was a tripping on Bahl or not. At a minimum, there was an incidental trip leading to the one on one with the goalie. Daws let's up a terrible goal from a not great angle. Nico probably should have chipped it up the boards rather than passed backwards behind the ice, which lead to the successful forecheck.

2. Goal two, I didn't see who it was, but bot a good job holding the zone. Luke was wayyy too soft on the puck retrieval. Daws had little puck awareness and Meier could have played it better, but not blaming the latter.

3. Goal three, Luke has to do a better job tying up his man. Let him have a deflection in the slot. No chance by Daws.

4. Goal four, bad job from Bratt and Nico both forechecking the same man behind the net, while the other forward was also behind the net. The Duck player was able to chip it out and start the odd man rush. Horrid job by Marino playing the odd man rush. No chance by Daws.

first and second goal daws has to stop and if he does the devils easily win this game. want to say daws wasn't at fault for the first goal? ok but the back breaker was the second goal it killed the momentum like it has all season.

Why was it even a game, in a must win, with them on a back to back, minus their 2 best players?

Not all shots matter. Our easy to stop "one and done" off the rush, versus their open net shots. Of course we have a low shooting %.

And Luke costs us a goal or two every night owing to gaffs or being outmuscled. Kid's got work to do.

No problem with choosing jack He’s the best player on your team, you live and die by that.

If they had chose Bratt and watched the patented backhand to forehand right into the pad with no lift everyone would be whistling as to why they didn’t choose Jack.

Shouldn’t have gotten to that point to begin with
Which is why I understood why Jack was chosen.

Hindsight is Hindsight but still...

Oh yeah only problems with this team is in goal....You can't seriously believe that...do we need an upgrade better vet than V yes he is cooked ....

Not surprised at all to see they couldn't win. They give you a little bit of hope beating the worst team in the league but then can't beat the 3rd worst team.
Baby steps

Looked like Bratt was dazed after the elbow did they bring him in for any protocol.? Or did he stay on bench?

Just another Lindy miscue ....First person I thought of was Bratt then I thought maybe he wasn't on ice...Did the shooter have to be one of players on ice right?

I don’t think there was a goalie Fitz could have acquired that wasn’t one of the many shit head goalies (like Jake Allen) around the league that wouldn’t have done much to help.

Next year is the make or break for him. He needs to fix it in the offseason.

And I’m not even gonna say “and he needs to not bring back Ruff” because I see no way Ruff is here next year. None whatsoever.

But he does need to steer clear of falling into the trap of promoting Travis Green. That much I do know.

Credit has to be given to the group as a whole though, they were dominant last night. Jack and Timo specifically showed up in a big way.

As always, some brain lapses by a couple of the regular culprits on defense and downright backbreaking goaltending lost the game for them.

Fitz had an obligation to this group to get them a goaltender and to put them in a position to succeed. He didn't do it this season, and that's a major failure. One more year of this core's window gone.

I hope Jack is pissed at himself and goes into God mode for the remainder of the season.
We've been waiting for that for weeks. He had one of his best games in weeks last night from what it sounds like other than THE OBVIOUS, it ain't happening. He isn't saving the day.

If they could get a damn save, he would have saved the day last night.

LOL if if if, I'm tired of playing the what if game with the Devils, there's always something else every week. They find ways to lose, and have found ways to lose every season other than one and I'm sick of the excuses, not to mention the lack of organizational accountability. It's one thing for fans and MSG personnel to be homers, another for the people 'running' the show to be that.

This is why I don't understand some of these people thinking this team can go on a run. They've given you absolutely nothing to think they can. When is the last time they won 3 in a row?

Well I’m glad I didn’t stay up for a second of last night or even Tuesday. Checked final score when I got up in the middle of the night to take a leak. Just a soft team, with a chicken shit coach and pansy ass general manager. But don’t worry, they actually gave up assets for some goon to come in and make things all better. Disgusting. Also answers my question of tuning in tomorrow or making other plans.

Hindsight but maybe let Nico Daws get a little bit of rest? I mean we’re running him into the ground to save Lindy’s ass and of course it will bite us
He did the same thing in 21-22 to save his ass. Until the Andrew Hammond trade happened. And even then I think Daws played a lot of games because Hammond was almost as bad as Gillies.

f*** doing that this time. And f*** Lindy too.

Send Daws and Schmid back, take away his toys and bring up Kinkaid and Kallgren until at least Vitek is healthy or around April 1st and roll with them.

Season is already junked. There’s no saving it. And there’s really no saving Lindy past this year. It’s done and he’s done.

Also based on the Sportsnet highlights looks like it was another Luke Hughes disaster. That’s a nightly thing these days. And not to hate on Jack for last night specifically since it appears he was good but generally speaking as I’ve said get a coach who can get the Jack and Luke show under control bc it’s ridiculous. But that seems to be an organizational mindset from the top down so who knows.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts Daws tomorrow.

He started Vitek the very next game after he talked about his rough night against Calgary and admitted that he considered pulling him in the 3rd but that Daws was cold.

The home crowd is going to be really rabid on Tuesday if we lose tomorrow and really out of control on Thursday if we lose to the Panthers.

That’s if they can even get 75% attendance in there on Thursday to watch the boring ass snoozefest Blues on a weeknight, who we never beat anyway.
