yes, that's accurate.

“confidence”…Craig Simpson mentions this 90 times per game, it’s so bad. It’s just so he can do a callback at the end of the game, “see that’s a team that’s playing with confidence”, or “well they didn’t have their confidence going”…so he’s never wrong, lol.
He also does weird versions of the word “well…” at the start of everything, to give his brain time to think of what he wants to say, but it just comes out like “duhhhh….”
Overall he just talks too much, you don’t have to go whistle to whistle as a colour commentator, it’s more than ok if you just add some actual colour here and there.
Not sure I’ve ever heard him make a point that wasn’t extremely obvious.
