Nylander- hockey is meant to be entertainment & he is the most entertaining player on the team.
Robertson - the amount of hate he gets due to his size makes me root for him. If he was bigger the fan base would treat him differently
Tanev - similarly to Nylander, his IQ and anticipation is entertaining to watch.

Dislike
Knies-a meh player who is grossly overvalued in this marker cuz of the premium opportunities he has received.
Reaves- find him and the role boring
Myers/Hakanpaa - not interested in watching glass and out.

First, I'll make it whatever I want , it's my fav list. I could complain about your list too if I cared.

Second, hard not to be a fan of 69 goals. Matthews is a unicorn. So while I'm not a fan of his greed, his accomplishments (MVP and Rockets) speak for themselves.

Marner on the other hand hasn't accomplished nearly as much and yet demands the same kind of money. It's obvious when you actually think.

I'll admit, Nylander has dropped out of the fav list tho. Probably Stolarz or McCabe is more preferable.

Just a small note

Austin has led the team in scoring twice I think? Marner has led all other seasons. Marner is also the Leafs best defensive forward and certainly the teams best PKer. Greed I've no idea why he's perceived this way. Before he won anything Matthews demanded to be the highest paid on the club, Dubas couldn't wait to make it happen, I mean after all AM brought Bieber into the room, Yes Matthews banged in a big bunch of goals won Rockets a Hart even though he needs support(see MM) to find success. I thought that the MVP award while a great honour isn't the end all and be all. Highest paid player in the league I don't get it, shouldn't you have to be the best player in the league?

My 3 favorite and least favorite change all the time, but I don't really dislike anyone wearing a Leafs jersey.

Favorites- Matthews, Marner, Nylander, Tavares, Knies, Domi, McMann, Tanev, McCabe, Benoit

Least favorites who I always hope will perform better- Holmberg, Kampf, Timmins.

Reaves - I was a fan when he was signed, but now I don't really get his role on the team, he's not that mean, doesn't really fight anymore and skill wise is the worst player on the team.

Rielly- The first five years of his career he would be in my top 3 always, loved him. The last few years his defensive game has become worse and it never was that great to begin with. This year has been his worst, hope he shows up in the playoffs like he normally does.

Least favorite is tough. Matthews, Nylander, and Reilly? They aren't players I "dislike" at all, but for being 'stars' on the team, I just don't like them as much as I have other stars in the past.

So its hard for me to say I dislike the 3 above players, but the question I am asking myself is, why don't I like them MORE?

1. Rielly: yes, he has struggled this season but Captain Morgan is a Leaf through and through. He's dedicated to the team, plays hard and is usually one of the best in the league. He usually shows up when it matters most.

2. Papi: i mean, he's Papi. Maybe the best player we've ever had, most likely the best in my lifetime.

3. Tanev: the D we always wanted.

Least:
1. Mitch: just irks me. Seems to disappear when it matters most. Great player, but seems to be missing that extra drive.

2. Reaves: why is he here?

3. Our entire management team and ownership: Grow some god damn balls and say something. Tired of this team being held to different standards. We can't play 'playoff' hockey. Meanwhile it's open season on our guys.

AM is the best goal scorer in the league. It's a very specific distinction and is the reason he is seen as the best player on the team. He also is the better player BTW, far better than Marner and at C. Marner will never score 45, 50 let alone 69 goals and AM does not need MM to do it, thats just a false narrative based on nonsense. His G/60 is fine minus Mitch as well.
