First: Love what the WWE is doing with Aldis. Don't screw up the "smart authority" angle with Aldis, WWE.

Second: I disagree with the Knight as a "Miz" level upper mid card. Dude is still a legit main eventer, WWE needs to pull the trigger.

Third: YES!!!!!The Bruiserweight. Make him this generation's version of Taz and don't job him out.

The Miz was the hottest heel in the company for a while, main evented Wrestlemania against Cena, and the whole thing to me felt perfectly believable. It’s no knock on Knight to make that comparison

Honestly, Knight probably dreams of having even close to that same level of star power

Not everyone can be the guy. The Miz role is a good spot. It's steady, lots of TV time.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Aldis ban the Bloodline from ringside for the match.
As I've said it in other mediums: "Do NOT mess with Nick Aldis". He's being booked incredibly well as SmackDown GM who will not be pushed around. He'll get in the ring at some point, to be sure.

Hell baby
It really is crazy to think Aldis is the same guy as Brutus Magnus, obscure TNA wrestler who thinks he’s a gladiator

I hope they let him get in the ring eventually. He works the style WWE wants from their wrestlers

I just don't think The Miz has the same kind of upside. Knight got himself over after his run as Max Dupri.

As much as I like Knight, I see two problems with him:

1) He seems nervous when doing promos in big spots

2) His finisher sucks. Most, if not all, main event guys have finishers that look really good, look like they hurt, or both. The BFT looks sloppy and isn't all that believable. Even Cena made the FU/AA look believable with how smooth he hit it. Ditto The Rock and the Rock Bottom. Austin's Stunner was almost always clean. Orton's RKO is amazing. The finisher for Knight isn't great.

If the perceived nervousness is him stumbling over his words, Austin did this all the time.

He's said multiple times that he doesn't like rehearsing promos because it doesn't come off natural.

The Miz doesn't have that upside any more, but he was quite huge for a decently long run. I like Knight, but I don't think he will ever touch peak Miz.

To me, it's not Knight's fault per se, it was a major booking botch that took him down a few notches. He was one of the hottest wrestlers in all WWE, they then book him in a match against Roman, he loses, and then WWE has nothing for him. What made Knight wasn't his ring work, it was his mic-work. And when the WWE has nothing for you, you get no time on the mic in front of a live crowd. He then lost all momentum...and here we are.

I dunno what the hell y'all are talking about lol.

Miz, for about the last 5-7 years, has gotten over out of respect for his reputation to take whatever shit he's given and make it work. He was not mega over 10+ years ago when he was the champ. He has never peaked as high as LA Knight, even if you believe Knight has or is fizzling out.

At best, Miz was getting a low level Dom Mysterio heat. At worst, he was getting go away heat or "This guy is seriously the world champ?" heat.

I'm guessing Seth starts to talk like he is going to drop the belt but someone will interrupt and basically berate him into not doing it.

Priest also might try to cash in but is stopped by Drew.

Nothing for him is a massive stretch. He continued feuding with the Bloodline and is getting another title shot at the Rumble.
