My fit was more about the AHL player we traded them for
The amount of stir that trade caused does not equal the level of players traded. All of the players involved are fringe NHL players. We can sign league minimum guys at any point in the offseason if we need more. There is no reason for me to be upset at the trade.

I am not a fan of trading for players who can't skate or play just because they're big, no matter how impactful their role

And I think as irrelevant as all players currently are, we gave up more than we needed to, and I'm not a fan of overpaying for guys either

I agree in principle, but I also don't think Khusnutdinov is a player that does anything well enough for his speed to be a factor.

I would have liked to find out for ourselves while he was here over the next few years. It's not like we capitalized on him and sold high. Wouldn't have hurt our return to wait until he proved he wasn't anything more and given him away for free in 2027.

Except he isn't really an NHL level player right now and I am suspecting that playing in the AHL was never an option for him. Tough spot.

Looks like he played his first game for the Bruins yesterday. Played 13 minutes with 0s across the board for his stats.

Lauko played 12+ minutes. He at least had a shot on goal.

It's hard to really gather anything from Brazeau. He played 7 minutes against Vancouver and 4 minutes against Pittsburgh.

Think he had like 3 blocked shots and 2 hits for whatever that's worth. Regardless, I was happy with him being sent down when it happened, agree he's not much of an NHL player at the moment. If that was the dealbreaker for him, I get moving him. I just would have kept Lauko then, who did also look promising to start the year.

Yeah that's concerning in and of itself. 7 minutes againsy Vancouver I sorta get, long day for him. 4 minutes tonight is worrisome. Is he injured? Does the coach just not like him? Does the coach not like him because he's not a good player? Is he sick? I don't know.

I'm not losing sleep over the deal, it's just not a trade I like on principle.

But you know, I get it...and I am not upset at the trades the Wild made either.

BG really does have his hands tied at the moment, and I for one can't wait till next season when the Parise-Suter ransom money is mostly paid off, the cap goes up some, so we can really see what Guerin can do as a GM, because at that point, there should be no more excuses.

I just geared up to watch the Wild today, and got this really low grade overall effort against the Pens and was mightily disappointed.

I just hope players in that locker room were too and they come out like they think they SHOULD be SC contenders next game.

It would be problematic if the coach did not like him the second he was on the team. That would mean there is a major disconnect between the coach and the GM... On second thought, that is probably it.
