I guess Caps think his 57 point season was an outlier but even if it is then he's still a good young 2nd line winger who can play some centre.

Yeah, I really like McMichael (I’m glad he’s at least going to a team I really like out west), but I do think that production was an outlier and part of a Caps team where basically everybody had career years. He’s one of those guys that should be better offensively, it’s just very inconsistent. But he is a valuable player that can play both sides of the ice and both sides of special teams. Honestly he’s one of those guys who feels like a Blue.

PK Subban for Weber and Hall for Larsen was pretty big back in the day. This is up there too in terms of sheer volume and wtfness.

i think kyrou is a good fit for washingtons younger group of forwards taking over

Was hoping for 16 & 18 for Kyrou and proposed such a while back…but I liked Gaston in his draft year and McMichael is a decent roster player to eat those minutes Kyrou no longer will. Washington got the best player, but STL did very well here for a guy that was known to be on the outs.

I think mcmichael in a defined 2C role can chip in 50+ points and provide 200 ft play, kid can fly.

I think this helps the team composition for both STL and WSH
