No it’s not, they’ll sell out whatever building they feel like when they do it.
They sold out arenas many times for trash events, and drew hardly a half house for killer shows. That’s not really what i mean.

To me, legitimizing Cody would’ve been better with less involvement from the Codyvengers all in the entire back half of the match, all the way through to the finish

Hell baby
glad that Priest had his moment, I hope he gets a good run with the belt. I imagine a Balor feud over it is inevitable. Where TK has WWE beat is that he would buy the rights to play South of Heaven as Priest’s entrance

So you just do a match with zero interference from anyone even though they’ve been doing all this interference in every match?

for me, ideally yes.

I’m fine with the interference, even to the extent they did it. It was hokey but fun. Like I’ve said before i just wish they got it all out of the way earlier in the match. It cheapened the win imo. It felt more about who was gonna get involved next than it did Cody winning the title. Give me a chance to cool off from the run ins, let Cody outwork Roman for a good ten minutes and THEN get the pin.

I don't know, I'm as much of a "just get in there and wrestle" guy as anyone I know and I absolutely loved it.

It was an absolute clusterf*** of a title run, with a video game character champion, and his run ending was the end of era for this company. It had to be stupid, and it was stupid in the best way.

I will say this, I hope this title change brings us back to normal champions defending their normal belt on normal PPV's instead of Zeus and Kratos throwing mountains at each other every title match.

It was the perfect Avengers Endgame moment to bring us back to some normalcy.

When HHH ran NXT (not sure if he still does) it was full of spot-fests and finisher spams.

At least when I started watching NXT a bit, which was after the initial "revolution". So not sure if it was different (as in, more traditional) when it first really took off.

Although to be fair, that doesn't mean his WWE will work the same way.

Did they drop all references to it being called the Universal title and now it's just the WWE title? I heard that a few times. I hope so.

It was always gonna end like this, lol. They wrestled the night before as well, you can't just make them wrestle 2 45 min matches back to back nights. God forbid Cody hurts himself in a fluky way due to fatigue or some other type of finish a la Finn Balor v Seth Rollins and you have to rip the belt from Cody after he just got it.

Caught the main event. I expected an overbooked Attitude Era mess, and it did not disappoint in that regard. But that was kind of all it was? It just felt like a noisy PWG match with finisher spam and a lot of rest time. Also, I hated Cena actually touching Reigns. Shouldn't have happened.

Cody got tagged by everyone in the Bloodline. Super kicked by Jimmy, spiked a couple times by Solo, Rock tagged him. But no one on Cody's side touched Roman once.

HBK runs it now and running it very well. Fairly similar. Not as much finisher spamming.

I'm still super pumped about what transpired in the main event for obvious reasons. Doesn't take anything away from Roman's legendary run as champ. He certainly turned the corner with his heel turn. Hope we haven't seen the last of him and his health gets better.

Last year the RAW after WM Cody got F5'ed by Lesnar. I wonder what happens this time around.

was it Pat or Cole who screamed "Christ" or "Holy Christ"? that was a little more surprising than the other cursing
Pretty sure it was Cole. Im wondering if HHH is allowing the PPV guys to swear now cause a few times I heard SHIT a few times yesterday and tonight.

HHH didn’t try to outsmart himself like Vince would have.

As a result, they’ve got a bunch of storylines which should flow pretty naturally from here on out.

Rock pushing Reigns out of the Bloodline for his failure, leading to an eventual Reigns face turn. That’s my guess.

Honestly I have no idea what’s next for Cody. The rock is the easy answer seeing as how he ultimately was the one that pinned Cody on Saturday, but that’s something meant for SS not a smaller PPV. Seems like Gunther may be next possibly but it’s clear Cody’s gonna hold onto the title for a while.

Probably Seth.

“I helped you now I’m gonna get the title from you.”

Seth heel turn is likely IMO.

I doubt it. I think the WWE heavyweight title is still gonna be Drew, Punk, Seth and Damien. I wouldn’t be surprised if they end up having a fatal four way at summerslam.

I think they’re gonna move Seth on from that road.

Or at least I hope they do. One of the issues with Vince from a creative standpoint is he’d keep guys in story tracks for too long and things would get stale. I hope HHH has learned from that. Feels like Seth should move on to another challenge.

I'd quit my job in the medical field tomorrow if you told me I'd be hired on the spot in any way by WWE if that happens. I'd be able to retire in months off off the bets I'd be able to make knowing the outcomes.

The only way I see it working is if they only allow it on a shoot wrestling promotion. Gable vs. Cody in a shoot match? I'd bet on that.

I can bet on the MITB winners right now, usually closer to events you can bet on every PPV match in the UK, so if you wanna drop out your predictions so I can quit my job and retire comfortably it would be much appreciated :DD

The more I'm thinking about it the more I think it's time to seperate Damien Priest from Judgment Day. JD is broken as a faction and should be done.
