Corsi guys should be happy. We outshot them.

So at least we are losing the right way now ;)

… on the draw he lost with under a minute to play

Draws are a crapshoot. There's no guarantee you'll win even when stakes are high. He had the best chance to win that one at 58% (80% in the O-zone)

Damn him for not being 100% in the faceoff circle!

I think he was the best Leaf on the face off tonight. Pretty good improvement.

If we are dismissing his -1 there above because it was an empty net, let's tell the whole story. Leafs needed a face off win… didn't get it… and within 1 pass, the game was over.

Can we only tell part of the story when it comes to this player?

Good game by the Leafs tonight don't feel too bad. Habs swept Babcocks Wings last year. Something about his system works great for every team except the Canadiens.

-/+ is a crap stat and everyone knows it. And you can't win every faceoff, losses happen.

The state holds zero credibility by itself for evaluating an individual player. Even more so for an individual game.

Some people are wired to hate on Kadri.

Kadri could cure cancer and people would still hate on him.

Gardiner+Harrington are both over 68%... Hunwick+Phaneuf both around 50%... Rielly+Marincin around 40%

This was regarding CF% 5v5...May want to get that last pairing looked at

Apparently you can. But that's not news now is it? :)

Gards and Harrington kept the mojo going from pre-season.

Hard to blame Rielly for Marincins play though.

Not sure where he's getting his stats but he's incorrect. Both were at 53% ES.

Good loss for the tank.

Harrington stood out for me (in a good way). Flew under the radar with all the Kapenen talk this summer.

The team played much better than I expected them to, but in the end if you're not skilled enough your efforts will usually fall short.

Structure and effort noticeably better than last year. This might not be such a bad season to watch.

That was an entertaining loss. Leafs looked a lot better then I expected. Amazing what happens when you get rid of your pampered spoiled cancerous player and get a good coach.

That's pretty unfair to say since the Leafs were losing 2-1 at that time.
