If you are extending McCann, you are not keeping Kerfoot.

If you lose Holl at expansion and move Kerfoot, you have more than enough to extend McCann.

It was a very clever trade to bring McCann in, but Dubas out-smarted himself on who he chose to expose.

That might work in the short term, but that would mean you're tying up like 45 million on 5 forwards and with the emergence of Bunting that means you have almost no chance of resigning him and given the choice I'd rather have Bunting signed for a few years than McCann even though he's a good goal scorer.

People can't be serious thinking Holl would return a 1st by himself.

A 30 year old journeyman defenseman who will be a rental as a pending UFA.

I agree with you 100% in that if Leafs make a TD deal and require the cap space they will include Holl in the deal but then it might be a lot more likely that its Leafs 1st going out.

Kerfoot + Holl + Leafs 1st type package going OUT for a TD rental player (Scoring winger or top 4 Dman).

Agree about the 1st but how is he a "Journeymen" ? He's been with us (organization) his entire career and has been a fixture (love it or hate it), for 5 seasons now.
