These poll results make no sense.
There are 6 people who would trade him for a 2nd but not for a 1st?

Chariot got a 1st 4th and B prospect. Granted that didn’t age greatNo one is trading a first for Holl.
If he goes it will be part of a hockey trade, otherwise he’ll be an own rental.
Think of it as what's the minimum you would require to trade Holl. These poll results make no sense.

It's hard to see any scenario where he doesn't leave as a UFA in the off season.Chariot got a 1st 4th and B prospect. Granted that didn’t age great, but not impossible. I’m with the trade Holl only if he’s included in a deal for a clear top 4 upgrade. And top 4 RD are scarce and expensive so I expect he’s here at least until summer.
Agree, I expect the Oilers to lead the pack of several teams pricing him out of TOIt's hard to see any scenario where he doesn't leave as a UFA in the off season.
They can have him. Seems like a perfect fit.Agree, I expect the Oilers to lead the pack of several teams pricing him out of TO![]()

Probably keep him. He's not my favorite guy ever, but TOR needs to hang on to their defensive depth and not punt it away. With a return to health on Defence (for now), and surprising depth from Benn, Mete, and Timmins. Development from Sandin and Liljegren, considering Holl is a UFA, what would you do?
To be clear this is a poll to get feedback on how you would handle a very enviable “problem “, and not a platform for some to push their Holl narrative (either Pro or Con).
He is traded because a better talent on D is on the way inProbably keep him. He's not my favorite guy ever, but TOR needs to hang on to their defensive depth and not punt it away.
Yeah Holl is not perfect, but TOR definitely needs someone like him on the PK.
Here is da answer .. in pro hockey you need defensive depth in playoffs .. likely he stays .. but if he goes as part of a deal then Leafs need to get back a D .. he is fine as a 6th/7th guy if he plays a very simple gameNo one is trading a first for Holl.

A journeyman defensemen goes from team to team. Holl has spent his while career with the Leafs organization.People can't be serious thinking Holl would return a 1st by himself.
A 30 year old journeyman defenseman who will be a rental as a pending UFA.
I agree with you 100% in that if Leafs make a TD deal and require the cap space they will include Holl in the deal but then it might be a lot more likely that its Leafs 1st going out.
Kerfoot + Holl + Leafs 1st type package going OUT for a TD rental player (Scoring winger or top 4 Dman).
Agreed, but journeyman is a good evaluation of what he'll likely be:A journeyman defensemen goes from team to team. Holl has spent his while career with the Leafs organization.
There's no reason to accept a 1st in return for a player that's been regularly holding down a spot on a team that's trying to be competitive.Agreed, but journeyman is a good evaluation of what he'll likely be:
After this season he'll go year to year with league min. contracts as an NHL #6 defenseman.
Both things can be true at the same time...
If Holl could fetch a 1st, wouldn't have Dubas pulled the trigger on that already?
What proposal are you going on about now? This is one of the most ridiculous proposals ever.
Trade for a player, yes, for nothing but potential...no way. We are trying to win a Cup...
