I think he's learned his lesson with this last suspension. He is a guy you need. Had he been on Avs roster they probably win the series vs VGK.

I can't believe people still want to bring back Kadri, after his 3rd damn suspension. He hasn't learned anything , he's a liability and he wont help this team when they need him the most. We moved on from him, its over, let him go. We can't keep doing the exact same things and expect different results. Let him be someone else's problem

I read a theory on Kadri and it made me go hmmmmmm

Most of Kadri's suspensions have occured in the playoffs.
If you are suspended in the regular season you are docked pay. In the playoffs you are not. Could his reckless play be connected to him knowing he will not lose any $$$?
Hmmmmmmm

As a Kadri fan I'd love to see him crushing folks in blue and white again. As a fan that wants to break the streak of consecutive first round exits I'd have to stay away. He's exactly the type of player they need more of, but with so much on the line, he's not the player I'd put my trust in again based on his current track record. It was mentioned in the trade thread. But, with Kerfoot likely gone and Domi on the outs in Columbus. That might be the buy low move on a Kadri type player but without the suspensions that they could take a chance on.

Hard No for me. That boat has sailed... let's move on.

I wish he wasn't an idiot, and didn't force the teams hand to move him out... that is on him.

I think we all need to come to grips with the fact that this team will go where the big 4 and our goalie take us. Kadri or whoever else we can think of are support cast only...

At least we will go down swinging

Kadri would be a one hit wonder. After that one questionable hit in the playoffs and is then suspended, you are then wondering why he did that and cost the Leafs another playoff series. The Leafs are missing that intensity that Kadri possesses, but if Kadri can learn to be more smarter about it, he would be more effective.

No, its his stupidity that's connected to his suspensions. During the season he was

Suspended 3 games for running over Backstrom
Suspended 4 games for his head shot to Fraser
Suspended 4 games for a cross check to Glendening's face

The same reason he was traded is the same reason Leafs would say no.

$4.5 million
and
Unreliable
Most of the Team were no shows in the playoffs. Rather buy low on Kadri, and risk him getting suspended, than play these jokers on this team.

If only you could add a clause to his deal.

He gets suspended even 1 game in the playoffs, he has to pay back whatever his salary was this year to the leafs.

The only way I could see him remaining composed enough to avoid making a dumb hit and getting suspended again.

Why would we need another player that won't play in the playoffs?

We already have Matthews and Marner.

You do realize that he's been suspended 3 of the last 4 years in the playoffs right?

Did you read the part where I said “the suspensions are a turnoff though”

Physical skilled players who can play up and down the lineup are an asset in the playoffs period

Yes I did read that part. And that statement alone negates your argument until he can prove otherwise.
