3 playoff suspensions in 4 years. No one can defend this, nor should they bother to try. That also doesn't include 2016, where his season ended with a suspension but the Leafs didn't make the playoffs.

Can't disagree. That hit on OV vs Caps could have gone the wrong way as well but I'd take a chance if the price is right. There are not many players who have the skill and grit Kadri brings if he can keep his emotions under wrap.

I would take him if his contract is cheap. Always better to have an abundance of good centres than be short on them. If he gets suspended at least we'll still have Matthews / Tavares.

No.

He's a good player. He's even a good player who fits what our team wants and needs. But he's had his chance and he's blown it, three times now. The regular season doesn't matter, playoffs are what matter and he's proven time, and time, and time again that he cannot keep his cool in the playoffs. I loved him as a Maple Leaf, but he was effectively fired for inexcusable behavior in the playoffs two years in a row. He's about to be fired again by Colorado. The fact that a player with his talent, on a cheap contract, playing C keeps getting traded away from teams trying to be contenders tells you that he's not a guy that you can count on.

If he wants to have a redemption tour somewhere else and come back to the Leafs late in his career, I'm down with that. And you know what, if we get him super cheap there's a point where it's worth it. But he has done everything he can possibly do to prove that he's just not worth the investment. We need guys who want to win in the playoffs, but we can't afford guys who lose their composure. It's every bit as bad as folding.

Just to remind everybody, Kadri got suspended in '18 and '19 for doing exactly what everyone here wanted someone to do - stand up for the guys. And now you guys are thrashing his name cause he's not a Leaf
There is a Kadri thread on the Colorado board I suggest you read. Kadri right now is thought of better by Leafs fans than Avalanche fans. They don't particularly like him.

He has one year left on his contract and we know how much he likes Toronto. Personally would love to see him back. Next year can sign him back, likely cheaper than his 4.5mil price tag he currently has. Not sure there's a trade to be had there right now that'd work with the books

Would take him back in a heartbeat. But Dubas would never trade back for him, for the same reason he traded him away. But would swap Kerfoot for Kadri, and Avs retain $1m.

Is it likely that Colorado would retain 50%? That would imply very low interest from all the other NHL teams.

Hypothetical topic or discussion I guess ......

Colorado fans on hf shit all over their players. It’s a competition to outdo each other in ripping players. Nothing they say can be taken seriously. They can send Kadri back here for 50% off, we already know what we are getting.

If we were in need of a second line centre of course. As a third line centre, his talent was wasted here.

And in the only playoff he was there he single hand idly lost fame 7

This guy got suspended hitting someone unnecessarily in an avs blowout. You can’t possibly want this bum back

nope he has made enough mistakes to know he will make another.

he had his run we got to watch him grow. but when he sees red he becomes oblivious to the ramification of his actions
