Weren't you the one with the some very loud bad takes on Elias Pettersson? My worst one definitely was Kakko. Didn't meet my expectations at all. Honestly, I didn't expect at all that he was going to play as timid as he had. I thought he would have the kind of a gritty attitude I thought he displayed in Liiga, but guess not. That definitely was a bad take, at least so far.
My other takes have at least been looking pretty good. I had Stützle first overall for 2020, and was meh on both Lafreniere and Byfield - those look to be coming along pretty well. The other significant ones were that I was low on Podkolzin and Slafkovsky, and both are looking like good takes thus far. Then when we add being higher than the consensus on Seider and Kaliyev, my takes have actually been going really well lately - and Hutson's looking pretty good, another one I really liked before the draft. So I guess those are making up for that miss somewhat.
yes, it's useless as hfboards.com should be your homepageevery time i type in hfboards.com into the url bar
Told my friends Sidney Crosby was an underachiever. In my mind, I meant that when he was drafted, I expected him to become a Gretzky-Lemieux like talent.
Got crushed by my friends saying you can’t underachieve if you’re a top 10 ish all time player with great two way game and 3 Cups
To this day it’s still an all time bad take innour group chat and I still get mocked for it
Arthur Kaliyev would not stick in the NHL due to his skating
I thought Risto could be salvaged. Big physical dman who can play 25 minutes a night 80 nights a year, what’s not to love?
Answer: He can’t skate and move the puck at the same time, can’t skate and tie up an opponent at the same time. It’s like his brain and body need to quickly alternate doing things, they don’t act simultaneously. Evidence:
Anywho, so my bad thinking it was all on Buffalo, and that Risto would do better elsewhere. Didn’t love Philly as a landing spot, but damn dude fits a mess wonderfully.
I'd say I'm guilty of that too. I thought maybe with a change of scenery, Risto could turn it aroundI thought Risto could be salvaged. Big physical dman who can play 25 minutes a night 80 nights a year, what’s not to love?
