He anhilated us.

I'm not expecting him to dominate a much better team like that but he handed us our lunch.lol
He sure can shoot, good skater too!! That was his period.

I heard someone use the MCD word when discussing Hagen.................you wouldn't know it by that period. He was merely o.k in a period the U.S utterly dominated.

I don't think there are any generational guys here are there? The Finn D might be one but he's at a U20 camp.

I think it was Michkov vs Berard a few years ago... or maybe I have the wrong tourney?

the announcer........."Wutzkes come to play tonight".

Thank god.

I doubt even Berard or Michkov are, gonna be great players but generational players tend to have generational playmaking skills and aren't just big goal scoring guys, which is IMO mostly what Mich and Bed have shown themselves to be so far.

Offensively, Misa has it all... patience, speed, skill, vision. I know the USA guys are hot but I think he is the most dangerous player in the tournament with the puck at his stick

It keeps weirding me out that there is an Eiserman on the US team and I am just not used to the spelling.

As I praise svozil... He costs us our PP. Still a very distinctive player. Growing on ne

Too bad Canada red couldn't have got a goal this period, they could have made a game of it, they were the better team this period but couldn't cash in.

would like to have them get another shot at this U.S team, with a few breaks and tightening things up feel like they could sneak out an upset win.

Finns deservedly up 2-0... score sucks but the Czechs have been competitive tonight. Finn PP coming up

Much better period for Canada Red. They built a lot of momentum on that early PP where they kept 3 of the 4 US defenders on for the entire kill. Canada is getting a lot of point shots but they need to do a better job creating traffic on them as Parsons is seeing them. Hearing Mrsic's name a lot tonight.

Eiserman continues to be the best player on the ice slightly edging out Misa for the honour. It's just one game but in the question of Eiserman vs Hagen and all I had to go on was this game I would go with Eiserman.

However, I don't need any more then 2 periods to see that any talk of Hagen being a Mcdavid level player is just folly, I mean....................no. One, he just doesn't have the sheer jets like Mcd had at that age, a Zegras type of player is what you hope he tops out as, but thinking he might be McDavid, I hope I don't hear that more then once on these boards.

Did anyone say he was on McDavid's level? It hasn't been his best game but Hagens is elite. He's not McDavid level but few are obviously.

Misa has just been okay, not even close to Eiserman this game. He's been turning it over quite a bit. Not his best game this tournament.

A poster has mentioned it yeah......Mcdavid. Uh.........no. Holy cripes, don't know why he's thinking along those lines.

I think Misa has been more then o.k, think he's been the 2nd best player on the ice overall. He's turned it over a bit but CR is over matched and he's having to try to take the bull by the horns, it's understandable IMO. Eiserman has been better though yeah.

Where did someone mention that? I saw someone say they thought Hagens would be the best draft eligible since McDavid and Matthews but that's not the same as saying they think he's on McDavid's level.

In the Misa thread in the prospects section, I'll go check to be sure.

Someone you know well.

Rechecked, yes you are right.............not exactly saying he was the next Mcdavid but as you say, best draft eligible since Mdcavid and Matthews, close enough for me. Ad i'd highly disagree with that too.

Lol. Hilarious play. Both that defensemen never learn that it's not a good idea to plow the opposition into their goalie, but also that Vansaghi somehow gets penalized for getting shoved from behind into the goalie.

That was a beautiful drop pass by Hensler to Catton. Looked like a slew foot by Misa to be fair to him.

Nice snipe by Catton, who's been quiet all night.
