4 was chasing the puck carrier in the corner the C or LW was near the bottom of the circle in the floating around, the LW or C was guarding his point and missed the pass and the RW was on his side. No one took the shooter and 7 was late getting to him and probably screened the goalie.

Heinola went for a skate chasing Niemelas guy. They get crossed up but Niemela stays with Heinolas original man who is now behind the net while Heinola goes for a skate far up the half boards chasing the puck carrier. High slot is wide open as the C skates right past him to cover the guy in the corner, leaving Niemela is no mans land while the puck is on the stick of Kaliyev.

1. Incorrect. Thats not even his man but sure.
2. #4 and #7 have names
He was late getting to the shooter and may have screened the goalie, although it was a terrific shot.
Soft coverage all around by the Finns on that shift. The US won a couple of puck battles in the corner and behind the net, were able to cycle and that’s why they get to play in the Gold medal game.

Well what I learned last night is Lundell is best player on ice either team BY FAR ... he would look great as our 3rd line centre and maybe even this year ... he is a mans man and plays a complete hard game like a lead man ... Florida drafted him ... Florida also drafted Levi ... Florida needs game breakers and we need Cup guys to help us get over top ... also no room in Florida for Levi as US top goalie is Florida 1st rounder and they got Bobbo at big money for 6 more years ... so trade Topi and Asimor to Florida for Lundell and Levi ... Florida gets 2 high end points guys which they need and we get 2 winners to help us out ... i think works for both sides and gets us closer to a Cup

So 2020 #12 and #212 for 2020 #15 and #64?? I'm not sure that's great value to be honest. I really like Lundell, but Levi is a very undersized goalie, and they don't often make it in the NHL. Levi was was a recent 7th round pick for a reason. A few games behind an absolutely stellar Team Canada Line up doesn't change that. Noting, he's just tied the all time Team Canada record, for three shutouts.... a record he currently shares with none other than... Justin Pogge... If that doesn't put into perspective, how to judge these tournaments for goalies.... Really, is Lundell for Amirov and Niemala a good deal for us?

We need a GM who can pull da wool over some southern GM who does not know his hockey ... and we need a 3rd line centre who we can put on ice to control game ... and a big time cool goaler who works well under pressure ... I would trade even more to get those guys ... they are real gems

I would even go much more if it was required if only for Lundell ... that kid is already a player like Cozens who can play big man hockey today ... those 2 guys are tourney's best players BY FAR

next best are 2 Canadian kids Newhook and Krebs ... 1 of those 2 guys would help ... any chance we land one of those 2?

Not really, at this point. Neither organization really has a need to move them, or a pressing need to be filled in their roster... or cap room. Why would Colorado, or Vegas need to move either guy? Skilled ELC players, are very valuable, so we'd have to give up the same, to get these guys. Sandin, Robertson, picks etc, would have to go the other way.

Not even close

Byram and Zegras have been the best players by far

Stuetzle too but his team was eliminated too early.

Cozens has been really good too, imo it's a wash between him and Zegras this tournament. Love Zegras as a prospect though, just his manner of skating and playing style are so satisfying to watch. Anaheim found a gem.

Lundell had a very nice tournament too but I thought the game against USA was his weakest showing.

Lundell is literally the same size as both of them lol. They're all 6'0-6'1 185.
Lundell has 20/30 lbs on them .

i like both guys , Topi's smart and has a solid skill set but unless he gets a lot stronger he'll never make the NHL

the main point is teams don't a trade top end prospect for a couple of lower rated prospects

LA should have taken Stuetle , he has a higher shill level and Byfield for a huge guy doesn't play like it ,

Lundell has definitely been noticable and I like his game. But he was no where close to the best player of the tournament. Probably not even in the top 5 IMO.

Cozens has been good too, but has a ton more support than Zegras which is why I give Zegras the nod.

Jared Spurgeon is shorter, and lighter than Niemela will be when he gets to the NHL. (5'9" 167lbd vs. Niemala 5'11" 167lbs) All kids need to become stronger, but at 5'11", and likely 185-190lbs by the time he gets here, he'll be fine.

I do agree that Lundell isn't getting traded though.

If we want a 3rd line C, we should be targeting Helenius next draft.

Definitely has more support, but I think he definitely has a better defensive game. Zegras has been the most dangerous offensive player, though I think Stuetzle could challenge if he had more than one player to play with lol

Stuetzle probably wouldve be tournament MVP if he was only any of the big 5 teams

It's a toss up for me, whether it's Zegras, or Stutzle who have been the best players of the tournament, with Cozens third, at least for forwards. Stutzle did a lot without the level of team support, that either Zegras or Cozens have had. Zegras to me, has been better than Cozens, though Cozens has been great too. Byfield and Caufield have to be amongst the biggest disappointments so far.

and Martin St Louis was like 5'6'' which gave hope to every short parent of a short kid playing minor hockey but just because the odd very short or very light player makes it doesn't mean they all will

Ya, top 5 for me wouldve been:

1. Zegras
2. Stuetzle
3. Byram
4. Cozens
5. Drysdale
