Niemala is only 18 and his first WJC, same with Hirvonen.
Next year they should be dominant with Lambert in the picture.

Lambert is going to be out of this world

Niemela didn’t have a great game tonight. He was late on the winner and the give-away in the slot almost ended the game at that point.

Still, he was their best D for the most part.

Only 2 games, but Hirvonen might have the clutch attribute in him which would be awesome.

Why are you making this into a Schneider thread? I don’t think you’ll find a Leaf fan that wouldn’t want a prospect like him, most just aren’t thrilled about drafting a low ceiling player at #15 overall.

They have 2 similar D, albeit smaller, that have played same or better this tournament that were selected a lot later in the draft.
I’ll talk about who i want. Pretty simple math right there for ya :). He’s going to to better than many picked before him. Already is actually for my thinking

Got to credit Finland, a team without much high end talent and they went really far, and put a team like the US with much more talent to the brink. I have got a ton of respect for Finland in this event.

Not a chance. Ray can put two sentences together without wanting to punch him in the face.

Jack is probably the Don Cherry maybe Craig Button if you want someone from the WJC team.
The Ferraro hate is always very strange to me. He's very good at his job, and for the most part unbiased. Sometimes he says some dumb shit, but who doesn't.

USA USA USA

We will be underdogs tomorrow.

Victory is ours.

I have spoken.

This is the way.

IDK why but get the feeling USA takes it tomorrow. We'll see though
Usually I would agree with you but this year's Canadian team is just dominant. They don't really have a single hole on that roster. USA is a faultly team with a deadly offense. They might be able to go shot for shot with the Canadian team but the difference is, Canadian defense bends at worst but never breaks. USA defense is non-existent when they get pressured.

As someone else said in this thread, I'd be shocked if Canada doesn't win by a blowout. I don't think the game is going to be close. I would happily play shot for shot vs this team.

He was late on Heinolas man on the winner. Heinola was out of position.

4 was chasing the puck carrier in the corner the C or LW was near the bottom of the circle in the floating around, the LW or C was guarding his point and missed the pass and the RW was on his side. No one took the shooter and 7 was late getting to him and probably screened the goalie.

Imagine blaming Niemela on this, some people lol.

Yup just thinking about it again, I can't blame him on this. Hienola went for a skate for some reason, and Niemela was left on an island.
It's just that one user who hasn't said one good thing on Leafs prospects, but picks apart any little error even when it's not an error.

1. Incorrect. Thats not even his man but sure.
2. #4 and #7 have names

Team Canada is just dominating offensively and defensively in this tournament.

Rock solid goaltending and defense are making the competition look 2nd class.
