Still have faith in this team but our goaltending will be a problem. Paterson might win a spot when it's all said and done, but I thought Brossoit should have won the starting job, but he's sitting at home. Good job coaches!

Subban did seem to be picked based on his past goaltending history and not how he played at camp. Not sure if I agree with that move... time will tell.

Nah. Brossoit was more impressive to me. It's a tough decision, what will most likely happen is Subban struggles and Bing/Patty will take his place. Same as last tourney.

We get another pre-tourney game right? I think it's unlikely Subban gets the start in that one (even if Subban played well I don't think he would, they usually like getting both goalies feet wet). If the other goalie, whichever one it is I don't know, plays well they could very easily get the starting job for the rest of the tournament.

Even Patty was better than Subban. But like you said, time will tell. teas will hound shots at him, it's possible Subban is an emotional goalie like Luongo... That is why I like Brossoit, he has face the pressure in the playoffs.

USA-SWEDEN on at 12:30est. Sparks is getting the start for team USA, and Biggs is playing second line right wing.

Sounds good :D Hopefully Sparks is lights out. He is going to need to be if he wants any chance of getting another start. From the sounds of things Gibson was the starter and will keep the starter role pretty much regardless of how the other goalies play.

Agreed. Although he hasn't started out so well, just left a softy in.

Yeah that goal wasn't so good. He may have been screened, but from the angle it looks like he had a clear view of the puck.

You'll see a far better US team than we saw out of Canada, as a lot of these guys play on the NDT together, before anyone mentions how much more cohesive they look than Canada.

Subban looked **** today, hope he has a better performance in the upcoming matches.

Sparks looking good after the soft goal.

Didn't catch the game today (gonna watch tonight), but I was definitely a bit concerned about Subban coming into the tourny. When I've seen him play I can tell he's a very athletic goalie that is strong down low due to very quick legs, but he had a brutal glove hand. I just remember watching him against the Knights and him getting beat every time glove side. I was concerned that teams in the world juniors would expose that weakness.

They were complimenting his glove hand during the game. Said he has a quick glove hand and loves to use it a lot. I guess he uses it a lot because people are always shooting there since it's his weak spot
