Kind of worried about this Canadian PP though. 2 minute 5 on 3 and got barely any chances from it.

That's just poor coaching more than anything IMHO.

RNH's skates should have never left the ice for that 5 on 3. Spott is just a terrible coach, Rielly and Hamilton start to get things going on that 5 on 3 and on the very next play they're both on the separated...

I get that he want's to 'save' players for tomorrow, but this is a 5 on 3 to put the game away and it's a lot less tiring than what it made Canada endure to the very end.

Spott is Terrible, Murphy regressed in the OHL this year and this guy still can't stop shoving him down our throats.

Man Murphy is getting stupid minutes. Murphy gets the first minute of the power play. Rielly comes out for 30 seconds and then Murphy gets the last 30. It's ridiculous.

How good is Harrington though. I watch him I London alot, but he upped his game even more. Great game

lol because of 1 game?

It's been a long time coming.

Very poor puck skills.

He is big though and players have made good NHL careers just being able to skate, be big, and fight.

I think he has good forth line upside.

Burke ****ed that pick up...costing us multiple valuable picks....like a scaled down version of the Kessel trade.

Murphy and Hamilton... Yuck.

Drouin looked unbelievable. Outshines MacKinnon and Jones, has shades of Giroux in him

My opinion?

Hamilton and Murphy's fault.

I'll take it one step further. I don't blame the kids for not living up to their hype, I'm sure they're trying their hardest. I blame the media, and the dumb coach who keeps sticking with "struggling" players.

It's infuriating to always see Murphy on the ice and look like a clown and to never see Rielly. Was finally able to stay awake long enough to catch the entire game in hopes of watching Rielly. Read about it a lot on here, so much more frustrating to actually witness the terrible coaching decisions.

I also thought the Drouin line created a lot of opportunities when on the ice and agree with everyone else that they deserved more time.

Was very dissapointed with the second coming of Chri..I mean Hamilton after all the boasting I heard about him. He played a solid game, just not exactly God-like like I've been told.

Biggs also has an NHL shot.

I don't know, I thought he was noticeable this game, he always forechecked hard, played pretty well on the PK and even flattened Morgan Rielly on a hit(sad face).

Like many power forwards, we'll see how he develops down the road because they do tend to take longer to develop.

At the end of the day, there hasn't been a player like Biggs in our system(nor team) in far too long. I look forward to welcoming him onto the big club when he's ready.

Biggs flattened Rielly
Trouba pounded Schiefele

I was worried when our prospects collided, but I found it funny when the Jets did haha

Agreed. Worst case, he's an upgrade to Mike Brown, best realistic case, a decent tough 3rd liner, who can be used on the PK.

Drouin has been so exciting to watch all tournament long. His puck posession and stick handling is unreal. What I love though, is that he's not afraid to be fancy. Sometimes that can be a bad thing, but he always managed to make it work. Really skilled guy with equally good vision. Really excited for his future.

Galchenyuk had a weak game. I think Biggs should be on his line to create more room for him.

Also, Spott wont change what he is doing cause we are winning. But having Rielly as 7th D is ridiculous. I mean he didn't have to even play in pre tournament games to make the team. So they knew they wanted him. Yet he is the 7th? :shakehead

Yeah but its rare to see him get in an actual situation where he can use and when he has so far in this tournament he just shoots it right in the bread basket.

Ive seen all five of Biggs' shots this tournament.

Unacceptable use of valuable draft picks.

It's a good thing he wasn't drafted for his shot. You don't need a lightning quick wrister to put home garbage infront of the net.

This is what the Leafs wanted out of their first round pick in Biggs?

These type of players seem available everywhere, including outside of the first round. To me, at least.

It's a joke how much time Murphy is getting

The bigger joke is that Rielly is everything Spott wants in Murphy, yet does not play Rielly as much as Murphy.

hamilton genuinely looks just plain bad out there.

Griffin Reinhart and Morgan Reilly should be the top pairing. Both have excelled tremendously at their respective roles (PK and PP) better than both Hamilton and Murphy in limited ice-time. Their ability to still be impactful and efficient in limited ice-time speaks for itself. I don't see any reason why this cannot transfer and work 5 on 5.

The fact that both the leading point-getters for defense-man, Rielly and Ouellet, were not together on the 5 on 3, is incredibly questionable.

Subban with a less than .900 save percentage in the first two games, has a .973 save percentage today :amazed:

He was unquestionably Canada's best player on the ice.
