I don't know how you can cheer AGAINST a team of Keith T. and Hull, and then cheer FOR a team with a J. Ruutu and Niemenen to beat them. It's the same god damn thing. I don't get this whole Canadian animosity against America.

Me neither, really.... so I'm rooting for the Czechs tommorow, despite Brodeur and Niedermayer.

Thornton?...heck, I'm a Bruins fan and I know how he can be....Mario i'll cry to the ref if someone gets near me...There are not alot of players to like on Canada either, I'd still cheer for them until now with some of these posts here...I wanted a USA Canada final, and I would have been upset if the US made it and Canada didnt, but no respect from North of the Border..thanks guys.

It is true that Thornton is a punk cheapshot artist, and I can't stand him, but I've had a hate-on for Tzachuk since the mid-90s, and Hull has utterly disgusted me with his behaviour this tournament, so I just wanted to see the little guys from Finland, and especially Saku, beat these guys.

I found the Americans age showed this game. They didn't seem to be able to turn it up a notch. after Chelios got elbowed/forearmed I thought he might wake up and spark the team but he didn't and no one else did.

I found the US defence looked lost. They had terrible coverage in their own zone. They stood around watching and not taking their man.

Good for the Finish team, I'm happy for them.

I don't root for teams based entirely on players actions. I just in general dislike the majority of the US team players. I don't like Ruutu (J) or Nieminen either, but I really like Ruutu (T), Koivu, Selanne, Kiprusoff, and Timonen, etc.

I don't really root against the USA, I root for the other teams.

(I know you were probably referring to someone else, I'm just expounding on my first post a little).

For how long? By my account they dont have that stellar of a record in international tournaments. They are good, but best could be debatable. Soviets were good for awhile.
