Lecavalier MVP haha, he wasn't even supposed to be there, put that in your pipe and smoke it Gretzky.

One the other hand, what an horrible cup, I wouldn't even use it as a flower pot.

The point is, you can shake your head at people who think Kiprusoff was a fluke, but those people can shake their head right back at you for thinking he can repeat his performance.

I guess it's all a matter of degree. There have been a couple of posts here that basically suggested that Kipper's run was a fluke. I would not suggest that he is going to play at the clip he did last season. but I am also not among those who would diminsh his accomplishment or pass it off casually as anything other than an indicator of his ability.

Sidenote: one can argue as to Lecavalier's meriting the MVP trophy. All I know is, between last season, the playoffs and this tournament, we're watching a great talent mature before our eyes into a great player.

Gretsky just said something that didn't dawn on me. Canada was never behind in any game of this tournament. Interesting.

Lecavlier is the Tourny MVP....Is this an attempt to build up a new icon, or does everyone truly feel he was the tournaments best player? I had others on my short list, including a few on the losing team, but thats okay :). Who would everyone else choose?

I thought Brodeur, very easily.

Hope the Laff fans enjoyed Mario and the boys skating around the rink with a trophy because they will never see the cup making the rounds there. Man whoever scheduled the tourney final in TO made a huge mistake... it was like a morque for most of the night

GO CANADA

Congrats

And that's without Redden, Jovo and Blake.

One of the best teams I can recall being assembled.

Congrats to Finland. They deserved to be in that game and tonight they showed why.

Congratulations Canada but also hats off for the wonderful Finnish team that gave everything they had. :handclap: :handclap:

Congratulations to Canada... :p:

We will meet you guys in the Turin 2006 final, 'til then
