You know what else is weird? Every time they show the Saudi fans on TV, it seems like they’re all dudes. Do women not like soccer in Saudi Arabia?

New rule idea

Whenever a player goes down clutching their leg and being hilariously overly-dramatic, everyone on the opposing team should be allowed to stab them once.

That way players will only do it when actually hurt and unable to get up.

Blatant dives should be reviewable like any other play for yellow cards. The diving by Saudi Arabia was insane today. The penalty given was also very very soft. The only thing that gave me satisfaction was seeing the same Saudi who had a horrible dive (too large of a file for me to upload video clip I took here), later give it away to Lewa for the 2-0 goal.

Their win against Argentina was a fluke and a half.

This!

2004 Euro’s is when I first felt diving really become a part of the game. Even before VAR, post match suspend a player for 3 games and see if they dive again. FIFA really f***ed up how they reacted to diving

It has been a lot longer than that. Brazil in 1994 was the worst example of it that I have ever seen. Yugoslavia was also rampant with it always. Those are just two cases, but they are egregious.

It’s why I don’t actively watch soccer every year. I just end up wishing people were actually hurt instead of faking it like idiots. That shit drives me insane.

Agreed. As a follow up- here was the play I referenced earlier.

Weird game. Mexico have done almost nothing all game but until Messi goal it seemed like it was up in the air.

Dang... but yeh... fair decision.

Morocco are dangerous though.

Ziyech, Hakimi, Mazraoui are all world class...

and while En-Nesyri has had a bad last year or so can score... and Boufal can too. El Haddadi can also pop up with a goal.

Hopefully see some Ezzalzouli in this tournament too. So glad he chose Morocco over Spain and he has so much potential.
