Well, so the match penalty turned out to be the key moment of the game. It looked like Canada found the right rhythm late in the 2nd but they were not quite able to follow up into the 3rd, also due to some needless penalties they took. The Czechs looked better prepared on the tactical level, were playing very good own zone coverage, and Suchánek was excellent in the net. So, great start. On the other side, I have no doubt Canada will prepare much better for the upcoming games and remains the no.1 favourite for gold.

That's how I feel too .. it's crazy though because Czechs (Sparta) did the same thing at Spengler today.. got a lead, the Canada demolished them in the second and I was positive Canada would smoke em in the third and they shut it down after the intermission. Same thing here. I thought Canada would steamroll us in third based on the end of the second.

he doesn't deserve to be on this team and I didn't want him on it. Savoie+Geekie should be on it, even for just draft eligibles I'd take Yager over him. Hopefully they drop him to 13th F and move Ostapchuk up

I mean Jimmy f***ing Snuggarud is producing close to the same and is like 4 months older than Fantilli. It's not as much of a stretch as you think it is. You are either massively overrated the NCAA or massively underating players that choose to play in the CHL.

Just because they choose to play in the CHL doesn't make them inferior. Plenty of this kids could go to the NCAA and dominate. No f***ing question. Give your head a shake.

I questioned his spot on this team the entire time. There's plenty of kids who I think would have been better choices to make this team. There's also a few other players on this team that I questioned as well. Not just him. This team was picked like it had a salary cap. They left a lot of talent off that should be there.
