Don't place a blame on all Canadians for be classless. Everyone here should realize by now the Canucks/Vancouver fans are classless. With regards to the Na Na Na song, they did it when the Oilers were eliminated last year from the playoffs. in the final game of the season. This is also the fans that support cheap shot artists like Bryan "go for the knees" Allen and Todd Bertuzzi. Vancouver fans have a terrible reputation and is well deserved. I hope they never get a major hockey event like this again, and instead it goes to a more classy place like Calgary, Edmonton, or Winnipeg.

I am disgusted that the Canadianfans booed the Americans and cheered the Russians. I understand now why the American posters here have been so furious with the fans. These are 18 and 19 year old kids.

I'm from Edmonton and don't understand what the hell the fans in Vancouver were doing. Why would they cheer for the Russians? USA vs Canada would have been a sweet final and I was cheering for USA all the way. Every year the Russians make me want to puke because of their cockiness and dirty play. Why would "we" be cheering for them? To the USA fans that watched this display, don't think all of Canada was like this, was a bunch of Vancouver fans making us all look bad.

Because, Canada beating Russia and the Americans losing is the best thing ever. Don't forget last year.

I have 0 problem with Canada as a whole, but I don't understand why more hasn't been said about the classlessness of the Russians taunting the US squad.

Big deal , if people want to cheers for Russia let them be.. anyhow it wasent very loud . And the Booo's directed at Jack Johnson every time he touch the puck are deserved because of his dirty play in the Canada/Usa game , good thing his coach keept him on the bench after seeing him act like a clown in late in the 3rd .

It was sincere. I haven't been anti-American in this thread. Never have been. I spend a good deal of time there and have family and friends in several States. I am retired military and served with the U.S. military in several parts of the world. I don't hate any other nation. Because that would be foolish to hate a nation for the acts of a few eh

I'm pretty sure Canada could give a f-ck if they lose to the U.S. in Baseball, Basketball, and Football.. Hell, I'm an American and I could give a f-ck.

Don't get me wrong.. I enjoy the rivalry, and root for the U.S... but come on. Just because we got punked out in hockey don't bring up sports that you don't care about up just to try and salvage something.

The most obvious one is the fact that a Canuck draft pick is defending the net at the US end, and no players on the Russian team. Most normal fans attending a game that they are not involved in will try and find something to cheer *for*. One of your own players, a player that you like, etc.

I have to agree somewhat as a Canadian. What upsets me about it is that these are KIDS. They are not professional players (for the most part) and don't deserve the poor treatment. I really felt bad for Walt Kyle. He is a classy guy and deserves better. In other sports, Canadians probably feel Americans are arrogant and selfish (guys like Roenick, Tkachuk, Chelios, etc probably didn't help that). However, this is a completely different team full of kids. I wish the anti-American sentiments weren't so intense in Vancouver.

But my point was I would rather root for Canada over Russia, but arrogant ahole fans like the many I've come across in here and heard on the tv make it really hard. It has nothing to do with being buddy buddy with the neighbors, just would rather root for a NA team over a European one first.
