I just don't understand why Americans care what Canadians think.

Most of us don't just a few that need to grow a set.

That has nothing to do with the staff of GM Place. The Russians are the "home team" by virtue of being the #1 seed and therefore earn all the trappings that go with it.

I'm pretty embarrassed by the fans. This is hockey, not politics. Fans should be cheering for the team that would give the Canadians the best chances at winning the gold.

It is politics, it has been since this tournament started. Completely took away from it for me. Now I detest these kinds of tournaments and dread them being in Canada.

Even IMO the Na,na,na,na chant was classless. There goes Schremp, I guess that he doesn't like getting the score run up on him the way that London runs scores up on other teams. Send out Paukovich and let the bodies hit the floor!!!

You can make fun of Gord Miller and Pierre McGuire (especially PM) all you want, but if you are acusing them of favouring the Russians, then obviously they aren't homers. Because anyone watching this tournament knows that the Russians are more dangerous than the Americans.

To me, they are up and up hockey commentators. If they weren't, they'd want this impotent American team to win.

No pride for this US team. I've said it before, IMO the US lacks national pride. Canadians,Russians,etc. have pride to give it their all, this team lacks it in droves.

I was not going to post as just trying to get game info but lacking national pride is not a problem for the US. The lack of caring about hockey is more the issue with the general public.

Lets try not insulting an entire country as it shows a lack of respect for others and a general sense of class.

Exactly, and it's not like rivalries don't occur in the NHL either. Just because it's nations competing, people take it personally.

And don't give me the "don't boo the kids".. a lot of these players play in the CHL where being booed by the opposing team is a part of the game. You don't think Sidney Crosby gets booed in the NHL? He's just a kid, where's the outrage for that?
