jadeddog said:ive heard this at least 100 times... how USA hockey doesnt look kindly on players coming up here to play.... im kinda green on the subject though, so does this *actually* happen? or is it just a media invented thing? because i have a hard time believing that they would let this get in the way of their team winning..... i will mention however, that it does seem like ryan and schremp (two players who are thought to be very gifted) dont seem to be getting much playing time....
jadeddog said:do you really think so? i think you guys should keep it up, it adds "history" to the team rivalries... parents children will ask "why are they saying potvin sucks?" and then the parents can explain the history of the rivalry and such.... i really think it adds a lot of depth to hockey, and any other sport as well actually .... chelsea fans hate manU fans, and it should stay like that forever IMO

I think the calls have been pretty well deserved...both waysdjtino224 said:For those who can actually watch the game, how legit are these penalty calls?

Booing is part of the game just like cheering. Atmosphere is one of the great parts of sports games.nomorekids said:Tonight isn't a good night to test the patience of any of the moderators.

Agreed.ferns8916 said:Yes but these teenagers are old enough to actually like it when they get booed.
I guarantee you that guys like Kessel, Johnson, Ryan, etc. love hearing boos from rival fans, beause it must mean that they are doing something good.
There is almost nothing better as an athlete than to go into a rival's building, play well, and listen to the rival fans boo you. The rival fans can't do anything about your talent, so all they can do is boo you, and it is a really nice feeling as an athlete.
I bet that if Kessel was to score a goal, and then get booed out of the building, that he would love every second of the boos he was getting.
