Legally, they're adults.

It's not like the constant whining in this thread is very mature either.

At least there is a crowd to cheer for one team or another. If a game between two non-home teams was being played in any other country there would be at least 1/2 the building empty. If the American fans wanted to ensure that they would have a positive atmosphere they should have driven from home and bought the tickets. And before you say that is too much effort, look at last years tournament.

I'd be there in a heartbeat if money wasn't an issue.

Bobby Ryan 2 shifts 1 goal 2 posts 1 goalmouth scramble 2 sustained pressure shifts in the Czech end.

If they played him more, he'd get even more points. In fact, i'd be willing to bet he has the best points per minutes average in the entire tournament.

he won't get more time, he went off the reservation when he decided to better his career by playing in the OHL, same with Schremp, and Mueller (WHL). Thse guys are just plugs in the eyes of USA Hockey. Kyle will stay with the college boys and endlessly hope for another "miracle on ice"

People: What is so bad about booing? I mean, players don't get that insulted when they are booed. If anything, they probably like the boos, because it means that they must be doing something right.

I know that when I played, even as a teenager I loved it when rival fans booed me, because it must have meant I was doing something right.

Let's make a deal for this game and posts. US fans: Don't rag on the Canucks for having fun and booing. Canadiens on the board: Don't rag on the Americans who don't listen to this post and rag on them for ragging on the crowd, whose ragging on our team.

Let's see if posts about hockey and the game can outnumber posts about the crowd.

Those complaining about the booing need to get over themselves and grow some thicker skin. It's not like they're burning your flag. Shesh.

Anyway, pretty entertaining period. A lot of speed on both teams.
Your right its part of sports but you canucks should admit if he wasnt American it wouldnt be as loud.

As long as it sticks to booos and words I have no problem with it.

Same here. I wanted to be there so bad last year in ND. And I'd give anything to be in Italy this February, buuut not gonna happen.

ive heard this at least 100 times... how USA hockey doesnt look kindly on players coming up here to play.... im kinda green on the subject though, so does this *actually* happen? or is it just a media invented thing? because i have a hard time believing that they would let this get in the way of their team winning..... i will mention however, that it does seem like ryan and schremp (two players who are thought to be very gifted) dont seem to be getting much playing time....

Jesus christ.. get a life.

I guess booing in a CHL or NCAA game should be forbidden too. :biglaugh:

Booing normally doesn't bother me, except these are just teenagers.

Yeah, good point. Although that is losing it's luster.

do you really think so? i think you guys should keep it up, it adds "history" to the team rivalries... parents children will ask "why are they saying potvin sucks?" and then the parents can explain the history of the rivalry and such.... i really think it adds a lot of depth to hockey, and any other sport as well actually .... chelsea fans hate manU fans, and it should stay like that forever IMO

Is that not like cutting off your nose to spite your face?

For the life of me I don't understand how a player as talented as Schremp isn't playing more, the opinions vary on Ryan and for whatever reason he barely plays. But there is about 1 or 2 forwards as good or better than Schremp right now on team USA.

Teenagers old enough to vote and go to war. Also known as adults.

Awesome game so far, though there's not as much back and forth action this period.
