Heh, since Bourque knows the way well enough, he's serving the Too Many Men. He and the box timekeeper will be picking out china patterns at this rate. :)

Nice. US pressure shorthanded, and the Czechs take a stick penalty.

Agreed.
Jack Johnson had a huge smile, or should I say "evil grin", on his face when he went to the sin bin and was getting booed.

JJ loves the notoriety. He has played a pretty good tourney but just needs to control his emotions a bit. AKA Jesse James

USA still up 2-1 on the Czech Rep. so it's an OK period; but I feel that the USA should have scored in the second. I don't think this game is safe with a one goal lead, especially if USA keeps taking penalties (Chris Bourque, I'M LOOKING AT YOU). Nevertheless, the PK has been good, Schneider has been great, and if the game stays at even strength-the American squad will have to get some flow and momentum going. If they do that, I think they'll get those extra goals to ensure a win.

More quality minutes for Ryan. One of his powerplay shifts ended when an actual pass attempt by Kessel goes straight to a Czech player who is then hauled down.

Minus the joke of a game vrs Norway, Ryan actually has more points than Kessel in the tourney. With 1/765 of the ice time.

Just another CHL plug. Schremp only on the powerplay too.

One thing we all should be able to agree on. This is a much more entertaining game than Finland/Sweden earlier this evening. (Assuming you saw that game.)

If you had seen tonight's Canucks/Blues game, you would understand jtuzzi's shame.
My orca is trying to hide behind some trophy so nobody can see him...

For the short pp, what about Ryan, Schremp, and Kessel up front? or maybe a Borque.....

The CHL is obviously far inferior to NCAA.

For the life of me I don't understand how a player as talented as Schremp isn't playing more, the opinions vary on Ryan and for whatever reason he barely plays. But there is about 1 or 2 forwards as good or better than Schremp right now on team USA.

Agreed, the US WJC team has really left me PO'd with Schremp's treatment the past 2 years. last year, all that he did was score in very limited minutes, and this year he should be getting at least as many minutes as Kessel. Why not play them together on the PP??? Isn't the object of the game to put your most highly skilled players together to score goals???

There's no point putting anyone else on with Kessel.

Yeah, ask Chris Bourque...He should thank Kessel for every one of his goals. Do you even watch the games or are your tears clouding your vision because Bobby Ryan isn't on every shift?

I cant wait for Robbie to be with us. We will treat him better. Edmonton awaits.

For sure, that's why most nhl'ers played in the chl. NCAA is for student/athletes not athlete/students. That's why the poor record of placing hockey players in the nhl.

The CHL is a closer game to the NHL
