WJC QF: Jan 2 GDT - Sweden vs. Finland

This has degenerated into a trap fest. Sweden have this game on points but they don't score hockey games like boxing. I hope the Swedes win as they have been the more proactive team. Rask has looked really sharp.
 
And now we're live (at least it looks like it) on TV Finland too, man Sweden's been playing quite good today... Now get a goal :(
 
39-20 shots on goal for Sweden.....McGuire and Miller say this hasn't been a good game....I don't think it's been great, but it hasn't been that bad......Swedes deserve to be ahead up to this point....Rask has been the difference so far....just past 10 minutes in the 3rd....
 
I think the tsn commentators hit the nail right on... big ice style on small surface=boring.

Outside of the Finns scoring four times, this prediction is looking pretty good right now :handclap:

Despite outshooting the Finns 39-16, the Swedes will go down against the opportunstic Finnish squad by a final score of 4-0, setting up a rematch of Future Toronto Maple Leafs goalkeepers Tuukka Rask and Justin Pogge.

Yes, and also because in his opinion, Borje Salming is the greatest player to come from Sweden.

As a matter of fact, as I am typing this (the 12:32 mark of the 3rd) McGuire just took another dig at the guy wearing #21 for the Swedes!

Miller put him in his place though.. After McGuire said "I'm with Gretzky on this one", Miller replies "Well, you can't do that because Gretzky isn't with YOU on this one. Don't go drafting Gretzky when he isn't available."

What a great line!

Sweden don't have any good finnishers/snipers....

Rask, of course he have been good but he haven't made that many great saves.
