it's sad watching the younger generation of Canadian hockey players dive and embellish and run up scores. And that's our captain lol. I guess standards were just a silly traditional idea that holds no real value. Or something. I sure miss them though. When they were held up as something for people to strive for. Wasn't even that long ago.

I said it after last game and I'll say it again, this team is nowhere near as good a skating team,puckhounding team and defensive team as last year.

And while the offensive pedigree of the forwards might indeed be higher it's all just on paper, they certainly aren't any more dangerous in actual play on offense then last years squad.
