This team is just full of a bunch of guys that would be 3rd and 4th liners in a normal year. Not dynamic offensively at all. I know people are piling on Minten but it is so much more then a one player issue lol
Starts with the piss poor D

Canada lacks urgency, this team plays a passive perimeter game and it’s been that way for extended periods of time.

They will lose out by the semis if they play like this against some of the upper tier teams.

I’ve liked the general play of our D men closing gaps if I’m looking for a positive. Lamoureux has stood out in that regard, I’ve liked what he’s brought from a physicality perspective.

Celebrini has looked really good overall but after that I’m just not seeing elite level skill for the rest of the forwards. They also aren’t overly fast or physical up front.

This Canadian team is playing quite soft and will get steamrolled by the Swedes or Americans if they survive the QF playing like this.

Haha that clip with dumais showing plays reminded me of the goalie during the tv interview from slap shot.

I recommend watching PeeWee hockey then. That way you wont have to worry about players getting hit. Hitting is a major part of hockey, and there was nothing wrong with Geekies hit going by the standards of almost every NA hockey games rule books.
I watch a lot of pee wee, bantam and midget hockey in the G and it was a bad hit. 1) because ithe point of contact was the head 2) cause Geekie should be intelligent enough to recognize that it wasn't the time to make that hit.

So Canada plays either Czechia or Slovakia in the QFs.

Either of these teams can beat us, no easy games ahead.

We’re underdogs going into that game.

This team is soft and wants to pass the puck into the net and stay on the perimeter rather than playing an aggressive tempo style of play.

It is funny that the undrafted and youngest player on the team plays the game the right way, but gets minimum ice time for his efforts.
