Oh I don't doubt that Canada has alot of talent but the US has too much fire power for Canada to contain.
Maybe, but we're rounding into shape................we're not actually too crazy about any hockey claims you may have and we have some good kids. That'll be a good game..................that's the one i'm waiting for.

A) It's Pierre Mcguire
B) He's a complete idiot
C) Those are the two main reasons
....thats what i've never understood, is when people say a team is being unclassy just because they are trying, and they are already winning big. Yes I understand that it is probably unnecessary for a team to score 15 goals on another team, but you can't expect a team to quit trying in the middle of a game, ESPECIALLY when theres a tie-breaker it could come down to, since canada will pound Norway as well. Honestly I would rather have a team representing my country to give 110% no matter the circumstances, win or lose. Win like champions, lose like champions is what I say. Coaches always harp on their players to go all out for the entire 60 minutes. You can't back out of that just because you're beating a team.

how was Wheeler

Sounded like he played a fair bit with Schremp, damn near everyone was over-shadowed by the Kessel and Bourque show. He seemed to be doing fine, however I really didn't hear Skille's name in the 3rd, I wonder if he was benched or maybe got injured???

Pierre is one of the stupidest people in the hockey world.

USA has a couple of lines that are considered 'scoring lines', we will see how Team USA's defence deals with Canada's forwards!

what was the deal with bobby ryan? injured? being punished?

Good too see USA come out and dominate, showing they won't take anyone lightly.

11 goals WITHOUT bobby ryan :yo: wonder who sits if he plays. and on what line. a couple of lines obviously played really well, it'd be tough to break them up. i always felt he might be good with kessell. borque obviously is ;)

Ryan played a little even though he was listed as the extra forward. IMO he should be playing on Schremp's line. It seemed like once I started hearing his name that Skille dropped off of the map.

Wheeler was undoubtedly the 13th forward tonight. Only had, that I can recall, 2 shifts, although he may have had a couple more I didn't notice. Ryan didn't exactly lead the team in ice time, but he got a decent amount of ice time and some pp time. With all the special teams, things were a bit abnormal, but Ryan definitely played, and especially in the third it seemed to me, got a regular shift.

I thought Schnieder looked a bit out of it tonight and didn't ever get comfortable, especially handling the puck, but in a game like that I guess it's hard to focus. The main story of the game was Norway's complete incompetence in their own zone and the Americans ability to simply manhandle people and win every puck battle. The Americans looked alright I guess, but you really can't tell anything from a game like that.

The refs let the U.S. team play 5 on 4 for like 30 seconds when it should've been 4 on 4. Where do they get these guys from a Holiday Inn Express commercial?
I was at the game. The Norweigan bench was hollering but the ref would not stop the play. Even the crowd noticed what was going on about 10 seconds into the 30 second free US man-advantage, but despite both the bench and the crowd reaction the ref did nothing... :shakehead

Cool part about the evening for me is that I got to speak with Swiss coach Jacob Kolliker for about 7 minutes...

I bet ya this is true...........lot's of o-firepower but man........................weak opponent.

And the goaltending is the weak spot i'm hoping for you can be sure.

Just wanted to add my two cents on the game.

Enjoyable game, as everyone was clearly cheering for Norway and when Sveum got that breakaway goal the crowd went nuts as if Chipchura had scored, it was a blast.

Just a side note, was anyone else as freakin' impressed with Phil Kessel as I was? He calmly went about his business not too flashy, just getting the job done, setting up Bourque on 4 beauty tap in's, not kidding on the tap in part either. However, I turned to the guy sitting beside me, and we had just finished saying we expected more flashiness from a guy of his stature, and then bam, he makes the whole Norwegian team look silly, makes the final D man fall, and threads a beauty, unselfish pass for a Bourque tap in, when Kessel could have tossed it top shelf on the backhand.

This kid's good.
