This wouldn't bother me if it was USA's national team, but these kids are still teens. Would you ever go to your son's house league or competitive game and taunt the other kids playing against your son?

Most of these guys are considered adults don't give me that they are little kids.....

Imagine what it will be like with the Olympics in a few years. :shakehead
It's not like these guys know about the soft lumber trade. This seems more political that anything else and it sucks.
Disagree totally.
The softwood lumber trade has crippled British Columbia's economy, put many mills in bankruptcy and elevated unemployment.
The US has broken the free trade agreement and refused to agree with independently arbitrated decisions regarding this.
And every British Columbian I know is very, very aware of this.
Let's keep politics out of this thread, but don't suggest that Vancouverites are not pissed off about softwood lumber, because they certainly are.

I can only hope Vancouver doesn't do this crap again during the Olympics..
Yet another black mark against that so called hockey city.

I'd actually prefer Vancouver didn't have the Olympics so they don't disgrace the rest of Canada like this.

Makes me sick.

I really hope it's not like this in 4 years because I'm going to try real hard to be there and I don't want to deal with that BS in person.

SOMEONE TELL ME HOW KORPIKOSKI PLAYED! :joker: It's the only good thing for me in this game lol.

I am embarrassed to be Canadians ... the folks out in BC are morons at this game...

No, they're not. Unless you're willing to say the same for Edmonton fans who boo Calgary, this is completely hypocritical. I LOVE this in sports. The crowd can chant all they want and whatever they want, who exactly is it hurting? I would not have minded the same treatment in Grand Forks. And considering A LOT of the people who attended this tourney are from outside of BC, how nice of you to only diss one province.

They're not "kids", as so many people believe.

Maybe it's because the Vancouver fans were disappointed by Jack Johnson's stunt? Maybe because the US was supposed to be Canada's biggest rival?

Why the sour grapes about some booing and "na na na" chants? From the sounds of this Mueller incident, the US team just might deserve what they're getting.

Do people realize that the Canadian fans were doing all of this crap BEFORE the Jack Johnson elbow. It's not a result of that play at all.

I don't care what they are considered, they are still teens.

Oh and congrats to the Finns, I have to admit I didn't expect them to get a medal but this is what hard work leads you to.

I think Korpi had a good game.......played great with Tukonen whom as i mentioned should be player of the game today.
J J for the americans

They can cheer for who they want to, but they made it more political than anything. These guys aren't politicians, they're hockey players.

I can deal with good natured ribbing, but this wasn't really good natured ribbing, in my opinion.

Exactly. If these hockey players are anything like the rest of the country, The majority don't like our current political regime either.

Anyway. The team that deserved to win today did so. Too bad one of the only Americans who showed up every game had to leave with a shoulder injury.

I'm sure Vancouver is pissed.

I'm also sure that Phil Kessel, Jack Skille, Rob Schremp, Bob Ryan, TJ Oshie, Peter Mueller, Jack Johnson and rest of the American junior national team is 100% responsible for the soft lumber issue.

Very true....most of them are between 16-19 years old and I'm sure most of them have been in this situation before. It just gets worse once they make the NHL.

I was suggesting nothing of the sort. I was just saying they should have kept the politics out of it. It takes the fun of out of the game.

Do you show this type of outrage when CHL teams are booed?

Because that happens too.

No, they don't realize that, which is annoying. But, not surprised.

Trying to look on the bright side of this, maybe this pathetic display they put on will end up being a good thing for this team, you know? I'm probably reaching lol, but maybe they'll put more thought into the team next year and pick the right players, a team with chemistry, and not necessarily all of the best ones?

So is Sidney Crosby, according to your logic the fans shouldnt be allowed to boo him because he is still a teen.... Give me a break :shakehead

Van booing Edm or Cal i cant except.........this was Van booing the USA as a nation and it is out of line.

Hypothetical question: If a game between the Calgary Flames and St. Louis Blues had to be moved to Edmonton for whatever reason, would it be bad if the Edmontonians who attended overwhelmingly cheered for the Blues?

Those fans have every right to boo the hell out of whatever team they want, for whatever reason they want. I applaud them for voicing their opinions.

Vancouver is a joke, they’re just a wannabe big league sports town and most of the people there don’t even know anything about hockey. No class, no respect, it’s ****ing embarrassing being from this province with these people representing us.

IT'S A HOCKEY GAME!

For anyone who remembers the gong show that was the Canadian team at the WJHC in 1992 that finished in 6th, are you getting a sense of deja vu too?
