I think Germany must have had a major or something. My girlfriend's car window was shattered by street people so I missed the 2nd period taping it up...

Sorry to hear about the vandalism (or attempted theft). I am going to presume they may have seen something in the vehicle and went for it. Otherwise, if nothing left out, that's just shitty luck.

They stole some plant food haha yeah just happy she wasn't the target obviously. Weird getting a call from police as a courtesy basically saying "hey your car's window is smashed...you can file a report if you want online."

Majors dont work like that.

If you score 5 goals on a major penalty, you end up at 5/5 and not 5/1.
 
At this point team Canada only picks the Oilers prospects only to make a mockery out of them
 
Kind of amusing how much better Bedard looks than Wright and hes a year younger. Looks like he will be a good one. Will be interesting to see how he adjusts to the NHL being a pretty small player.

Better shot, worse skater.

He won’t have the kind of game breaking ability that McDavid has, because McDavid’s skating is otherworldly and translates very well to the NHL, but he could be a Matthews level player if all goes right.

The downside to Bedard is his size (he’s only 5’9 I believe). He has the skill to overcome it but he will have more difficulty adjusting to the pro game than McDavid or Crosby did, IMO.

This is a huge downsize. He's playing Juniors. Men will be somewhat harder to play against. I'm not convinced either he has a better shot. Good aim. That bar under shot tonight coulda been saved. not a ton of zip on that one. Bedard seems to have really good first step acceleration but doesn't seem to have a top speed. The problem is that combined with his lack of size and lack of ability to burn around D he could be detered more by good coverage. he has pretty good shake and bake and eyes but for sure he's no McDavid.

I think he’ll be another Gaudreau. Different player, but similar impact. The generational hype is overdone, for sure.

Interesting. Thanks. Wish I had more time to watch and pay attention to the junior players. I know Bedard is supposed to be good but I haven't watched him consistently.

Yeah, in his limited minutes he's played a smart game, imo. Not being "too" aggressive, while effectively using his size on the forecheck
