Also I’ll just say it again like I have for a while now:

The state of Canadian goaltending is a concern. No elite goaltenders at the NHL level. Not a lot of elite goaltending prospects coming up. It actually looks pretty bleak.

The Olympics didn’t have NHL players otherwise I think it would’ve been exposed.

Sadly, this has been an issue since the 80s, with a brief Brodeur, Luongo, Price interlude.

Canada doesn't develop goalies at a young age so it's not surprising

If they ever end up having a best on best it might not be much of a shock to see Skinner make the team

How good was that 2005 team when this was your goaltending?

That was like a 25 year interlude though lol. The last elite goalie Canada has produced was who, Price?
The interlude did not last that long. It was that long ago.

This has to be up there for one of the worst losses, no?

Worse I can recall is the 6-0 loss to Russia in 2019

Yup, the highlights of the Michigan goal attempts emphasize that. Stop the fancy bullshit

I’m not hyper conservative about the sport but that type of goal needs to be looked at a bit closer.
I hate the lacrosse goal with a passion and I wish they were disallowed. You can't pick up the puck with your hand and throw it in the net so why should you be able to carry it on your stick and throw it in.

Is the Spacek that scored for the Czechs Jaroslav's kid or no relation?

Team Canada is playing Oilers hockey lol
Hockey is trolling our Happy Holidays.

I wonder how much Fantilli’s draft stock will drop because of this tournament?
I wonder how much his credibility dropped when he complained vociferously about an obvious penalty. jebus just go to the bench. The last Canadian that got a penalty realized it was a clear call.

I do believe it's his son.
