Yeah, I'm pretty sure the lottery show is 7-730. Then it goes into pre-game 730-800, though, I'm sure draft/lottery discussion may still be happening.

Then PIT vs WSH @ 8pm

just have some faith bud. no point being negative today

Yea chances are we are going to be top 3 and 4th isnt actually all that bad anyways. The top 10-15 have pretty solid upside this year and Hunter has done a great job so far.

The only thing that one hour preview is going to be good for is maybe getting a gauge on what happened at the draw, when they talk to the representatives for each team. It's such a drag because everybody has to basically pretend. If Dubas is reading this, give us a sign. ;)

The team representatives that are present for the draw are sequestered in the room until the winners are announced publicly by Bill Daly.

I hope we get the 1st OA pick and Arizona gets the #2 OA pick. That way, everyone can argue about if the Leafs should trade down with the Yotes, or not. And then we can all argue about what it should cost Arizona to get our 1st.

Well techincally the lottery is done before its on air. They will be showing us the order via placards before the game.

That is true! the link is to a video from last years draw for the right to pick Connor McDavid. If you watch to the end you will hear Gary Bettman say that everyone must stay in the room until the results are announced on air by Bill Daly.

Hope for a top 2 pick. I feel this draft has 2 "franchise players" Matthews and Laine. The rest are good but not guys i feel will be superstars.

Well, at least Daisy is doing the GDT and not Cor....:handclap:

We've put it all on the luck of the Daisy. Either we will be lead to victory.....or riot :).

I heard that Daisies are pretty lucky. I dunno where.

No pressure Daisy.....

 well - as I am a firm believer in positive thinking - I am very hopeful things will will work in our favour in the best light. reagardless what happens.

+ I also believe that after heartache comes rainbows, and I already had tremendous heartache yesterday - ergo: rainbows today!

True. Though he might as well be more honest. "Just don't look like your life is over."

LOL that poor kid. and since it's McDavid he'll never ever come out and go, yah. it sucked bananas.. or whatever, or what he was really thinking he'll always be the consumate pro.

Anyone else think Laine's past attitude problems will hurt his draft? Unsubstantiated rumours about Nylander seemed to affect his his ranking but Laine was doing some pretty crazy things less than two years ago that were beyond Ho-Sang (the worst being sent home after threatening to kill his coach at the 2014 Ivan Hlinka.)

The Leafs have put a stronger emphasis on character under the new regime so I'm wonder if we see them pass on Laine at 2 or even trade down?

The higher the team who gets drawn, the better the odds the Leafs have in subsequent rounds. So for example, if Edmonton (2nd @ 13.5% chance of winning) is drawn first:cry: then the Leaf's chances on the 2nd ball are better than if Boston (14th@ 1% chance of winning) is drawn on the first ball.

Here are the highest and lowest % the Leafs will have after the 1st ball is drawn:

Ball 2:
Highest: 23.12%
Lowest: 20.2%

Ball 3:
Highest: 26.67%
Lowest: 20.6%

So:

If Edmonton gets drawn on the first ball, then the Leafs will have a 23.12% chance in the next draw.

If Boston gets drawn on the first ball, then the Leafs will have a 20.2% chance in the next draw.

If the draw goes:

Ball 1: Edmonton
Ball 2: Vancouver

Then the Leafs will have a 26.67% chance on the 3rd ball

If the draw goes:

Ball 1: Boston
Ball 2: Carolina

Then the Leafs will have a 20.6% chance on the third ball.

Let's hope we don't have to worry about these scenarios, once the first ball is drawn.:D

That's crazy talk. No one would EVER EVER EVER talk about such a thing.

Its possible, but I doubt it. At this point there was no discussion of Willy going top 3, it had been narrowed down substantially.

Theres likely 55 minutes of discussion with the actual reveal happening at 755 just before the game. There will likely be pre-game and general playoff discussion during the draft lottery show too.

I'm pretty sure that the lottery reveal does not occur until 8pm so it can be simulcast on both NBC and CBC. NBC's broadcast begins at 8pm. They'll do a 15 minute or so pre-game it with the lottery reveal from Toronto and then it's the game. That's how it was done last year.
