ritchie maybe?
He's quite a faller and usually that doesn't work out. I think he could be a safe pick and be a solid 3rd liner, but the upside doesn't look there anymore. Still see him as a late 1st for now, but way too high to take him at the Pens pick imo.

is it him or the team he's playing for? i think he's better than his numbers.
edit; i like yager but i don't think he'll be there

Dalibor Dvorsky could be available. I think he's definitely going to be an NHL Center. So that is an attractive option to improve our depth there and take over for Crosby, Malkin eventually. The positive about him is that he's a pretty safe pick. I think he's definitely a 3C at worst. The con is that his upside is a little lower than some other options. But 2C is a pretty likely outcome for him. He has been 1 of the bigger fallers in the daft. But again, he's still very likely to be a middle six Center.
Dvorský is interesting. There's lots of speculation here about where he's going to get picked. But while he's big and decently talented, a lot of people look at Slafkovský's struggles in Montreal and think Dvorský's will be even worse. :dunno:

Dvorsky’s production in the Allsvenskan isn’t anything noteworthy. That’s the kind of production you’d expect a mid-1st kid to have in the top league.

I’d probably expect he might fall to the second, which if we had a pick there still might have been a good choice.

Lol I’m pissed we don’t have that early second round pick right now. We could be retooling our prospect pool. Any chance a Buffalo takes Granlund to get over the hump for a 2nd? Crazier things have happened. They did do that big Jeff Skinner contract. I wouldn’t rule it out.

Way too early to even judge Slafkovsky. I personally didn't have him as my #1, but nobody in that class has really proven a ton yet.

Dvorsky would be a fine pick at 14.

Oshawa's not a terrible team. There's players on worse teams putting up better numbers.
Ritchie just doesn't have great upside and skill. I'd take him with a late 1st still, but top half of the daft, na I like a ton of other players more.

I could see Yager being taken before 14, but there's a slight chance.
But I would go with Dvorsky, Heidt, Danielson etc. over Ritchie. Even just looking at Centers.

i agree with yager being gone, ....and give you a maybe on dvorsky but i like ritchie a little better than you. i saw him bouncing passes off his teammates sticks in the "small sample" size that i saw. but it was small so if you saw more than i did I'll yield to you.

That Skinner deal isn't so bad now with his last two seasons.

I mean Danielson lead his team in points and his team didn't even make the playoffs. And his production was better than Ritchie. So a weaker team isn't really giving Ritchie much of an excuse.

And not that it's all about points, but Danielson is 1 of the strongest two-way players in the draft too.

Ritchie's okay, but I wouldn't be too happy if Pens took him at 14th.

I say we start some kind of absolutely heinous rumor that will scare teams away from Bedard. Then we snatch him at our pick and are like lol jk we pwned you guyz.

It's gotta be really bad for this to work, though. An unforgivable offense. Here it goes.

Hey, guys, did you hear that Connor Bedard subscribes to Dan Kingerski's blogsite? Like pays actual currency to read what Bud Moonshine writes.
