At 14th? Probably not getting much in the way of a big piece of the future as is. I mean, you might be able to use it to swipe someone away from a team in cap hell, but that's a big unknown. Probably have a better chance of keeping it and hoping whatever you do pick up ends up being a home run.

I don't think the Preds are going to let Saros go period. I don't know why everyone thinks they will. Even Helly is a question mark. Jets still have a decent roster. They're just in that WC slot like we are because they don't have the number of premium high-end talents like the other teams do.

true, and with not knowing who is going to be there when we pick, it's hard to disagree with you. but there are a number of players with good size and already playing in a men's league. so, making the jump is not as big a reach as some might think. imo

If Nashville or Calgary win, we drop a spot.

I don't want Bedard in Philly, that's about all I really care about. He's such a good prospect that I imagine not even that organization and coach could f*** his career up. Though, if anybody could... f*** Chicago too, that franchise can rot for eternity.

Lottery draft so Pens maybe get luck and move up to a much better spot. I think they can move a max of 10 spots. BUt I like Wood as a RW and they are not in the hunt for a top center or RD at 14. Any top 10 pick is a start here.
