Cool, now we can trade out of the 1st for Ryan Reaves or snag some elite talent that's gonna right this ship like Kapanen or Zucker.
Sweet....Goalie aren't worth making big trades for. Brutally stupid to invest much into a Goalie as they are simply not worth it.Who do you think the Pens are getting for the 14th overall? Cuz the Jets and Preds sure as shit aren't gonna deal two of the best goalies in the game for anything short of a huge return--and something like the 14th overall, Pickering and POJ ain't a huge return.
Keep the pick. The prospect cupboard is dogshit and it's time to start assembling pieces that might be ready for this team to start to work its way back to relevance in a handful of years. The era's over, the team's cooked. JR, Hextall and Sullivan made sure of that, and nobody's gonna come in and salvage this shit.
My sources indicate Bedard is being investigated by Vancouver Police for his involvement in a string of violent beheadings.I heard Fantilli is pursuing his love of baseball.
You've heard of Boone Helm, the Kentucky Cannibal. Meet Connor Bedard, the Vancouver Eviscerator. My sources indicate Bedard is being investigated by Vancouver Police for his involvement in a string of violent beheadings.
That won't be ready for 3-4 years and won't matter at all.Since it's officially 14, my uneducated vote is for Brayden Yager. Corey Pronman compares him to Travis Konecny and says he has a high-end shot.
Sounds good to me.
Matthew Wood has better size but his slow skating is apparently a major red flag. Ryan Leonard sounds like Bryan Rust - does everything above average but not exceptional in one area. Tom Willander's comparable is Mike Matheson and apparently has a similar hockey IQ, which makes me hesitant on a first round pick. Zach Benson just too small.
Yager is the one guy in this range with some sort of high-end skill, at least according to Pronman.
I like Gabe Perreault a lot but I'm not sure he'll drop all the way to our slot.Since it's officially 14, my uneducated vote is for Brayden Yager. Corey Pronman compares him to Travis Konecny and says he has a high-end shot.

Team is still gonna exist in 3-4 years. That won't be ready for 3-4 years and won't matter at all.
Sweet
I was going on a trip and listening to it in the car. I was blown away we got him.Think about how vividly you remember the Crosby draft lottery. Now consider that Connor Bedard was born after that.
yeah, he's kind of all over the place, I've seen him as high as 5th overall to 20. To me I think he's closer to the top than bottom. it's just his size could be a problem. he's fairly skinny. needs to get stronger.Since it's officially 14, my uneducated vote is for Brayden Yager. It will but won't be relevant. Would rather spend the assets now then keep a pick that's going to be meaningless in 3-4Team is still gonna exist in 3-4 years.
A trade should absolutely be on the table, but not for a Zucker/Brassard type. Has to be someone just entering their prime. That won't be ready for 3-4 years and won't matter at all.
Sweet
That I can get behind, a real difference makerA trade should absolutely be on the table, but not for a Zucker/Brassard type. Has to be someone just entering their prime.
Agree completely with thisIt will but won't be relevant. Would rather spend the assets now then keep a pick that's going to be meaningless in 3-4
And not traded for a player like Kapanen.A trade should absolutely be on the table, but not for a Zucker/Brassard type. Has to be someone just entering their prime.
Like when Shero drafted Angelo Esposito. I think he was 100% planning to move him because he was still a big name even after dropping like a rock.Even if we keep the pick it’s not like we’re forced to keep the player. Prospects can maintain or increase their value if they have good D+1 - D+2 seasons.
Who were the four guys that they showed sitting at the Pens table during the lottery? I swear I didn’t recognize a single one of them. FSG dudes?
