With Andrew Ladd ending his career, only 3 Atlanta Thrashers are left

i liked these jerseys

These were the only good uniforms the Thrashers had, and they were probably the least used. This should have been the primary logo. The rest of the uniforms were terrible IMO.

It's a shame the Thrashers' owners were god-awful, and ran that team into the ground. Living near Charlotte, it was nice being in both Carolina and Atlanta's markets, and having another team semi-close by besides the Canes.

Not that he's in the NHL, but Ben Maxwell is still active in the SHL.

Sorry if mentioned already.

I loved the Jerseys everyone hated.
Me too! Really liked the blue home jersey with the darker sleeve and the red 3rd with Thrashers and the number on the chest. Didn’t really care about the team but the jerseys were really nice.

Wait are you saying that the Flames name is a unique one or a copied one (from retaining it from Atlanta)?
Calgary Flames kept the name of the Atlanta Flames when they moved to Calgary. The name references the Civil War and General Sherman's march. Much of Georgia and the Atlanta area was set on fire.

Yeah I know that it's one of the dopest factoids in all of sports, I was wondering if the person I was responding to was aware of that.

Umm... okay.
Opinions i guess.

Better to create own unique one instead of copying previous teams name ala Calgary Flames.

Thrashers better name than Kraken, not to mention their dumb logo.

But then again, opinions 🙂
Opinions are cool, but every now and then someone just has a wrong one. This is one of those times. Kraken is a fantastic name for a hockey team. Thrashers on the other hand was very meh.

It still puzzles me why they kept the name with the move. I would think even if you could find something local for a name, people will always associate the original reason.
