Does the same apply for Coutinho, Griezmann, Bale, James, Oezil and all these big names who have declined?

I’m not saying Pogba’s done. He’s only 27, but he doesn’t walk into a big team anymore. He needs to earn his spot.

Coutinho was never as good as his transfer suggested no where near Pogba's level. Most understood this. Greizzy starts every game sadly. Bale started most games for Madrid before injuries kicked in. Although he too was never as good as fee suggests. Not sure what Ozil is about hardly comparable. James too.

Not a super long one though. Long enough to give Pep a little more time but also not long enough to where will have any issues canning him if he struggles.

I mean lets hope so. With Laporta maybe coming Pep will have his friends in office again. Pipe dream as of now though.

Ahhhhhhh okay, I saw you in the rugby thread one time so I thought you followed. Dupont (who is probably France's best and upcoming player), cost them a bonus point in their win against England by kicking the ball out prematurely before the 80th minute in the Six Nations before Covid hit. They would've won the tourney if he didn't do that.

Well if they're trying to sign Messi, it's because Mbappe probably moves to Real. You won't have a trio rotation of Messi, Mbappe, and Greek god.
Nah, PSG is negociating with him for an extension as I said. And Mbappe wouldn't pass up to play a front 3 with Neymar and Messi. Di Maria is on a free next summer. He's going to leave if Messi comes and free up a lot of salary.

Griezmann was a terrible signing more so than Coutinho.

I will explain, with Coutinho they overpaid because of the Neymar deal. They should not have done that transfer but they really had a lot of pressure to replace him as well as the departing Iniesta. Now in term of impact no doubt this was a major fail that should have never happened. Same apply to Ousmane Dembele.

For Griezmann it was a signing simply because they are Barcelona and wanted a new striker. They paid his insane release clause of pure greed and now they are facing the financial consequences of it. Atletico did very well to replace their problematic Striker with an upcoming superstar player in Joaõ Felix.

Pogba injured his ankle in France's last international. It swolled up in training so he was rested a couple of games.
I mean, that might be the case after, but it doesn’t seem to follow prior. I went and looked, and from the end of October to the November international, he basically either came off the bench or got yanked at 60ish. So, clearly, he’s either been unfit the whole time or the reality is more he isn’t playing. He also played the full 90 for two of the French games from what I can see, coming off after starting against Finland, so... I guess United has him on a minutes restriction (if it’s not that they just don’t think he’s cutting it) or Ole doesn’t fancy him.

As Pogba explained himself on the quote I posted, he felt the effects of the virus longer than expected.

United have most players on monitors (those vests), so they measure the players minutes in each game to a tee.

Would Pogba start for any of these big teams? He doesn't start for Man United. He needs to be used in a position that most teams already have occupied because he refuses to do defensive work. Players like Fred/McTominay/Matic see the field over him. Why does anyone think he'd start at Real Madrid, Barcelona, Juventus, Bayern, PSG?

Maybe he can start at a club like Arsenal. Probably not for a Champions League team that can afford his wages.
I mean, the question, is and always has been, how motivated is he? If he’s motivated and fit, he can start for any number of top clubs. I don’t know that he walks in tomorrow and forces his way in a few, but once settled, he’s good enough.

That said, he does need someone to carry the mail defensively, a system tailored to his strength, and then confidence / fitness for a run of matches. I don’t think it’s realistic at this stage, but you never know. Maybe a world exists where Real can craft a midfield that he can excel in, and then a manager who can build a relationship with him. But I don’t know if I would take that large gamble if I’m Real. Especially not for a massive fee.

For two months?
But then he could go 90 twice in three days or four days, after having played in the Finland match prior to that? I realize National teams mean more to some guys, and they use players without care, but come on.

I might not know a ton, but I think I can smell a little bit of bullshit. I realize he’s your guy, and you’re gonna back him no matter what. But today alone tells all the tale. In a match they have to win, he’s on the bench. Matic turns like a battleship, but Pogba can’t get on the pitch? I think McTominay is underrated, but he’s starting over a world record signing in the midfield?

I mean VdB posted a picture of his ankle looking like a baseball the other week, yet he isn't playing like utter dogshit or ruining the locker room.

This virus effects people individually.

I’m not sure the point in trying to defend him. He hasn’t been great. He isn’t starting. His agent, most likely with his knowledge basically helped sabotage the most important week of the season.

Is it something as crazy as, if he was fit or motivated, and Ole wasn’t playing him, it would speak to how bad Ole is? Or who knows what.

“You’ve got to ask Paul if he’s happy or not happy,“ Ole told BT Sport. ”
I’m not going to speak for him. But Paul is focused on doing his best for the team when he’s here. He’s working hard in training and he just needs to focus on his performances.

“Now is not the time to discuss transfer targets or ins and outs at the club.”

Both of them should go over the winter window.

Addition by subtraction to sell off Pogba at this juncture. Fee doesn't matter.

According to Marca, Real Madrid are still affected by the pandemic and have no plans to move for Pogba (especially with his wages) or any other player either.

The Pogba thing is the same as the De Gea thing. Two guys that the only clubs that they would leave to/can afford them aren’t likely to be interested. They lost at musical chairs.

Mbappe is currently discussing extension with PSG. His father said last sunday it's looking good.
PSG won't bring Pogba because they'll try to sign Messi.

Julien Laurens suggested yesterday that not even PSG can afford all three of Mbappe, Neymar, and Messi - as much as they'd like to. Is that just him, or is that a more common thought?

If Salzburg can't reach the round of 16 tomorrow, Szoboszlai is likely to be sold over the winter break like what happened with Haaland.

Seems Leipzig are the favorites if he moves over the winter window; whereas if he stays until the summer, then that probably means he's leaving the RB pipeline.

They already bought his replacement, Brenden Aaronson from MLS. I don’t think Salzburg are going to like the results. I hope I’m wrong.
