I just did most of my Thanksgiving errands, thinking today would be better than the weekend and as we get later into the week. Trader Joes, Costco, Total Wine, and Market Basket.

Shit. Show.

Luckily all that's left is to go to Wilson's Farm tomorrow for the turkey and some veggies...and that's a trip I enjoy.

Such an awesome launch. However Artemis may have caused significant damage to the launch pad- temperatures from the firing solid rocket boosters & the 4 main engines reached over 8000 degrees Farenheit. The pad was constructed to withstand temperatures up to 5500 degrees Farenheit. NASA hasn't said yet how severe the damage is, how much it will cost to fix it or how long it will take.

Oops. 🚀 👨‍🔧

Wilson’s Farm is an absolute shit show. Just left.

Robert Clary, the French actor, singer and Holocaust survivor who portrayed Corporal LeBeau on the World War II-set sitcom Hogan’s Heroes, has died. He was 96.

Clary, who was mentored by famed entertainer Eddie Cantor and married one of his five daughters, died Wednesday morning at his home in Los Angeles, his granddaughter Kim Wright told The Hollywood Reporter.

CBS’ Hogan’s Heroes, which aired over six seasons from September 1965 to April 1971, starred Bob Crane as Colonel Robert E. Hogan, an American who led an international group of Allied prisoners of war in a covert operation to defeat the Nazis from inside the Luft Stalag 13 camp.

Clary was the last surviving member of the show’s original principal cast.

I've never heard this before, but holy crap, what an indelicate way to break the news to an audience

"There are press reports that the president has been assassinated"
*audible gasp*
"We're going to play a funeral march!"
*boos*

Very frustrating and scary night tonight. I posted in the pet thread a few days ago about one of my dogs not feeling well. He seems to be doing okay.

But tonight my other dog started to vomit her entire dinner up. Then proceeded to continue to throw up in different spots. And then...vomited blood. I've never had thar happen to me. So my sister took her to the vet. She's still there. The place in Woburn said they had an opening, so she goes there. They say it's 200 dollars upfront. Okay. Then after they take my dogs temperature, they say it's a 3-4 hour wait time. Surely they didn't want to mention that before taking the 200.

They said she could wait or take my dog to a vet in Newton. So. My sister drove all the way there. Upon getting there. My poor dog had bloody diarrhea. They tell her they're gonna do the full workup to see what's going on. Might be over a 1,000 dollars by the end of it. I am just shocked. But. We're just gonna have to pull together and worry about the money later. I need to know what's going on with my poor girl. She was perfectly fine today. I don't think it's a coincidence that my other dog was sick (but not throwing up like this or blood) and now she is. I'm not sure if they ate something outside in the yard or what.

So. If anyone can say a prayer or send some good vibes my dogs way I'd appreciate I just pray its nothing serious and they can fix my girl. I love her with entire heart.

Sorry to hear that. Vet bills can run up in a hurry. Hope they are able to figure it out and she feels better!

My brother and his two kids got here today. We are headed to Pensacola tomorrow to see my mom, who is not doing well. At least they moved her from the hospital back to rehab so I'm hoping that's a good sign.

We went to a local BBQ place tonight. My nephew got nachos.

In fairness, English was a second language to Erich Leinsdorf who ironically was able to stay in the US thanks to the man who became President that day

In November 1937, Leinsdorf travelled to the United States to take up a position as assistant conductor at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City. As it turned out, his departure from Austria came a few short months ahead of the Anschluss of March 1938, when the country was taken over by Nazi Germany. With the assistance of freshman Representative from Texas Lyndon B. Johnson, he was able to stay in the United States, and became a naturalized American citizen in 1942

On November 22, 1963, during a Boston Symphony concert, Leinsdorf had to announce the reports of President John F. Kennedy's assassination in Dallas, Texas, to a shocked audience. He and the orchestra followed the news with a performance of the Funeral March from Beethoven's third symphony.

The odd thing about the aftermath of the JFK assassination was America went into a deep funk for a couple of months and we did not snap out of it until Ed Sullivan did this

My parents and older brother DESPISED rock music but they were also captivated by the Beatles.

Appreciate it everyone. She just got home about 20 minutes ago. It's been a long 9ish hours of worrying. My baby is a little out of it due to a sedative. They did a complete check up. Found nothing thank God. They believe she has a stomach virus. This is the best outcome I can think of. Sent home with an antibiotic and a probiotic. She might still have blood in her stool for a few days. But that should clear up. Just got to watch and make sure she doesn't vomit anymore. They gave her anti nausea medicine at the place. Bill is about $1,800 and some change 😬 Crazy. But anything to make sure she was gonna be okay. We'll make it work.

I'm greatful for the team at Veterinary Emergency Group in Newton for taking such good care of her. About a 25 minute ride from where we live. Thank goodness for them.Fingers crossed this is the end of this stressful saga. My Muffy girl is 12 years young. I love her so much. Hopefully she's on the mend now. ❤️

Rough story but I'm sending my best thoughts/vibes your way. Furry/hairy ones are family.
