The only difference between Winnipeg and Montreal from a sports team standpoint is the league that our soccer teams play in. Otherwise Winnipeg carries the same range of sports teams as Montreal but with several million fewer people. We even do a better job of supporting our baseball team than you guys did :laugh:

Thank you for highlighting this. No one from Toronto or Montreal gave a damn about Nashville or Miami or whatever.
 
I love the salty whining about Winnipeg while the Jets look down on everybody from FIRST PLACE haha

So…. you’re admitting Jets fans are fair weather fans just like everyone else?? Because if the Jets weren’t leading the league you certainly wouldn’t be here chirping would you? :sarcasm:

History has shown winning the President’s Trophy for best record doesn’t get you the Stanley Cup.

I don't mind having the reputation of being a discerning fanbase at all. What does unyielding loyalty and endless sellouts get you besides the highest ticket prices and annual disappointment, i.e. Toronto

Sometimes lighting a fire under management to put a better product on the ice is a good idea

You could write that same narrative for every thread in here. Are GM's reading the trade proposals? Is a certain player reading the thread trashing his play? Is the committee reading opinions about what may have been an illegal hit? No. However, these are all topics relevant to hockey fans. Just like a team's ownership asking for corporate revenue help at the same time a team which has sold out their small arena for years is not doing so any more is relevant to "the business of hockey".

Sorry you're so offended by this. If you feel news about Anaheim having low attendance last night is a relevant topic to the business of hockey, well nobody is stopping you from creating a post.

Neat! I am not offended. The team is fine. Small arena and all!
I am not even a Jets fan! But I will tune in on sunday to watch them vs Arizona.. That will be a great show no doubt. Half of 4600.. Less media, less hockey "dads" week less, etc... Less all the other things going on in AZ... Should be a sell out! Best team in the league!..... Enjoy!
