Brown/Kopitar/Gabo ---Brown ends up on the left side anyway.
King/Carter/Williams
Clifford/Stoll/Lewis
Richards/Shore/Nolan or Andy

I wouldn't move Carter to wing, it just makes the Kings really weak down the middle.

Well, our offense has not been a problem. It's been exciting hockey lately but I really miss "boring" Kings hockey!

Not sure how Dean is going to get a top four Defender. Not many teams looking to move one.

Yandle is going to be pricey. I doubt PHX would trade inside the division.

 As it should be.

We're watching some pretty damn exciting hockey thanks to these guys. Just hoping we get to keep watching it until the beginning of summer.

We've been spoilt rotten over the last few years, it just appears like the wheels are falling off this year. Fingers crossed Lombardi can work his magic. Hopefully also the injection of a little more youth/ enthusiasm will work wonders like it has in the past.

This years a wash in my book. Time to retool, refill the prospect cupboard, and maybe trade some older guys at the deadline for a high markup...

Hate to say it, but TT and TP out maybe a blessing is disguise. It takes something to happen like that to get movement that changes the status quo.

I agree, unfortunately DL will not give up on the season.

Yeah. If the Kings blow this homestand the hole will be too deep to dig themselves out of. I'm hoping he doesn't trade away a good young prospect or high pick just to get a top 4 Dman. I'm sure he has some kind of plan...

Wow. Pearson AND Toffoli out? Broken ankle for Pearson? Unbelievable. It's like the sports Gods give us two stanley cups and says that's enough! **** you guys, here's Voynov out for the year because he beat up his girlfriend. Here's an injury to Gaborik, Kopitar for a little, Toffoli now, Pearson, Martinez, Muzzin, Regehr. Am I missing anyone? Ridiculous.

And how are we SO bad in the shootout?

All this adversity is just going to make the repeat that much sweeter. :handclap:

I wouldn't go THAT far... they'll bounce back. Maybe not to a cup contending level but they'll be a playoff team. Then again, might as well miss the playoffs completely if they're gonna get bounced in the first round.

A few years back the Sharks struggled big time and had a sort of mini rebuild on the fly, got rid of some veterans like Murray, Clowe and Handzus mid season. It really sparked the team and turned their season around completely, it also gave them a bunch of assets. Not sure it's possible for the Kings, they seem spread too thin already and there might not be guys ready to step up in the farm but it'd be something to consider at least. And if they can't get a deal done with Williams you just know some team would pay an incredible price for his services and playoff heroics.

Whatever, just thinking out loud. I'd prefer it if they just got their **** together and started locking games down again. Never thought I'd be missing those 40 to 20 shots 0-1 losses but we at least know that kind of hockey pays off once the playoff starts. I don't know what to call this, it's so uncharacteristic of this team. Give Terry Murray a call, he'll sort out the defensive end in no time :)

We can go ahead and assume Pearson is done for the year, btw. Broken leg or broken ankle. Those aren't quick recoveries.

It's getting ridiculous. Doughty is playing too many minutes, Martinez is being overused and so is Muzzin. Lombardi has to do something shortly, I know he doesn't have much to work with but it's getting ridiculous.

This is my line of thinking. They're obviously not contenders this year now that Pearson will be out, as well as Voynov. Maybe DL can load up on picks for the upcoming deep draft.

Also, there's no way I want to see Williams traded unless its a huge overpayment. He's the Willie Mitchell of our forward group, and look what has happened without a glue guy like that back on the blueline. A complete cluster****. I'm hoping DL doesn't make a panic move, because it seems that even with a top 4 defender, we'll still be screwed.

All these doom and gloom'rs....

It's not that bad..... bones heal... 6-8 weeks then time for conditioning and a little pain as the joint remembers how to work.

This is pretty much the last year the band is going to be together... some pieces will have to move after... Lombardi isn't just going to throw in the towel.... just need to fight through it.
