And the Edmonton thread, and Calgary thread, and Ottawa thread….Where's the Buffalo thread?

The other Canadian teams average 40%-45%. Drop those teams to 15% and see where their ticket sales are at. Jets did a piss poor job of involving the business community from day 1.15 percent support from the Business community compared to what everyone else gets its a bit of a Joke.
Typically cheap rich Manitobans want everything for free while they step on the backs of the working people telling them to pay for everything

The franchise history smarty pants…..Atlanta/Winnipeg. They never one a playoff GAME as the Thrash and between both incarnations they have one conference final to their credit….and they got worked….I’m talking sustained playoff success not second round flame outs in three out of five years"In its history"....They moved to Peg just 12 years ago. Plus, 3 of those 5 series they got past the first round.

Hey I’m not making excuses. I fully think that it’s pathetic that the jets can’t draw 12K in game #3 of a new season with a 1-1 record. Hope springs eternal usually at the start of a season. But is that grounds for talking about a franchise being in serious trouble? Of course not…..my position is that it’s not forthright to imply that the franchise has put together some really great seasons recently complete with playoff success….fans are disillusioned by a franchise 100% absolutely unequivocally steeped in mediocrity…The Thrashers had 1 playoff appearance. Got swept.
Bridging together all these teams really doesn't make sense but doesn't matter. I'm not buying that tickets aren't selling because making the playoffs 5 out of the last 6 years isn't good enough.
I'm pretty sure the NHL really didn't have a say. The Thrashers ownership basically evicted the team so it was really up to them who the Thrash went to.I wonder if NHL gave Winnipeg a go to see if smaller Canadian cities could support a team. Feels like if they really wanted to not to to Winnipeg they could have.
Maybe now they have the answer and is giving cold shoulders to QC.
True but I am saying, look at what Coyotes are doing now. If NHL REALLY did not want to go to Winnipeg, they could have allowed Thrashers to play in smaller venue in Duluth.I'm pretty sure the NHL really didn't have a say. Well, I also want to be clear...this is just a couple/few games. The team isn't on the brink of moving. I'm just pointing out what I've been saying in the Atlanta thread. The NHL needs big markets with big corporations. Never questioned how passionate Peg's or QC's fans are. No question that they're crazy about hockey. But no matter how crazy about hockey the fans are, in these tiny markets, it can only last for so long until the few huge companies and fans they have are tapped.Hey I’m not making excuses. True, but also need a willing owner to do that. There were a few smaller groups led by former sports stars, but I don't think they had the capital.True but I am saying, look at what Coyotes are doing now. Yep. Can’t disagree with the lack of big corporate support in a city Winnipeg’s size…..I will say this…..The NHL knows that hockey mad Canada would LOVE to have QC back in the league so the fact that this is very likely not going to happen, I would be beyond astounded and shocked to see the NHL also move the Jets South for a second time…They are in for the long haul in Winning come hell or high water…Well, I also want to be clear...this is just a couple/few games. Excuse number #103,489 to cover for the fact that major multinational corporations have eaten small businesses alive with their predatory business practices. If things were healthy before the restrictions they wouldn't be decimated by a relatively short term measure that was necessary to avoid thousands of extra deaths.Winnipeg isn't a wealthy city. The unreasonable lockdowns resulting in the crazy printing of money, etc, has decimated the economy.
Yikes...and that is with the Cup Champs in town....this is not good!11,521 tonight, just barely over the last game
Someone should probably start a Sabres attendance thread.I was at the Buffalo Sabres game tonight and they also had roughly 11,000 in the building, despite the fact that it's a 19,000 seat arena. It looked very empty in there despite Buffalo being an exciting up and coming team.
It seems like this isn't just a Jets problem.
We are? We’re still in the middle of a worldwide pandemic.
Sabres have missed the playoffs for twelve straight years. They get a pass. Especially since they filled the building up until few years ago.I was at the Buffalo Sabres game tonight and they also had roughly 11,000 in the building, despite the fact that it's a 19,000 seat arena. PaidDoes anyone know if these numbers are paid attendance or actual butts in seats?
