Well, if Dru Brady is the real thing, the cat's pyjamas and the bee's knees all rolled into one, then maybe the Bombers should be looking at making him the starter going forward with the hopes of getting his name on a long term contract. Pretty poor asset management to spend a few years developing this guy so he can be a star elsewhere. Collaros is nearing his best before date anyway and looks like his injury avoidance luck has run out. Punt him and a few of the other silverbacks for some draft picks and get working on the next dynasty. Sure, they might still have another Cup left in them this year but after that, things could get bleak real fast if they don't start planning for the future. Once they stop being consistent winners, they'll have the same problem as the Jets convincing free agents that Winnipeg is a destination city.

That's my hot take, and I'm sticking to it. :nod:

If his trajectory continues, I don't disagree with you in terms of hoping he stays with the Bombers, but Collaros is signed through to 2025...

But instead of looking too far ahead, it will be interesting to see what Dru brings. It felt like our offensive playcalling stayed creative last game when he came in - like Holden said I want to see how he looks in a game after an entire week of 1st team reps in practice...

Calgary also has a chance to watch tape and plan against Brown's tendencies - that's the one advantage for a backup coming in midgame - Elks had Collaros' number, but seemed less certain about how to respond to Brown...

The Stamps db's are not very good, if Dru doesn't over think things his receivers should be open all night, oh and hand the ball off to Brady now and again. Weather might be a factor too.

Still think we should punt for the single, especially near the end of the half. Maier's only got a 10% chance of hitting a hail Mary, no time to drive down the field, and every point matters in windy conditions...
 
The only really bad play was the hook play to Lawler where i dont know what Brown was thinking with Roberson atanding between Brown and Lawler. Brown missing that the blitz was coming on that sack wasn't great, but Hardrick bit too hard on the Judge fake blitz and reacted late.

Otherwise it's just been play calling emphasizing the short ball. He nearly connected on one long shot, they need to keep those up.

Curious - is the wind an issue
And this affecting the calls or even brown’s decisions
