Tough day at work so I've been drinking. Haven't in a long while, so its hitting me different haha. Probably why I couldn't resist responding to that.

BTW I still don't recall where this supposed beef between us started. Honestly over the last couple years we've agreed more than disagreed I feel haha. But I'll be honest I have more fun disagreeing/debating people than agreeing.

Why you up so late lol?
Sorry to read about your day, hopefully all is well.

Debating is always fun but I feel we agree mainly too. I think we had a public spat about Nichols vs. Willy and about Richie Hall back in the day, but I mostly am just ribbing you these days. I like how in-depth you go here and it’s honestly much better content than most of the stuff I read elsewhere. I follow the CFL closely and am almost as passionate about the Bombers as I am the Jets (oftentimes more passionate about the Bombers, I feel) I’m just too lazy to get into too much depth too often in here lol. And I don’t have as good of a grasp on a lot of the stuff as you.

I am up because I got home late from Goldeyes game and then Folkorama and couldn’t sleep, so I put on the Riders/Als game and watched that.

And I have to say, LOL Riders. And sorry to see what happened to Fine. I hope he will be fine.

Rourke just had a highlight of the night type play. D line blew up the back field. He tried scrambling and had a defender draped all over him and threw a dime for a TD.

NFL teams often make dumb decisions in terms of holding onto useless vets vs exciting young players, but he's made a case for himself today.
9/17 153yds 1td 0int 3rush 13yds 1td now on the day

I'll be surprised if Collaros plays against the Stamps, he hasn't practiced all week but then again that hasn't had a bearing on him playing before.
I am sure if he’s healthy they’re intentionally holding him out to play mind games with Calgary. I won’t be surprised either way whether he plays or not.

I mean there's a reasonable chance his career goes out with four consecutive Grey cup wins...
No way, Jose. Toronto are pretenders! :naughty:

I just love the irony (is it ironic? I’m not sure of the definition, I’ll have to ask Alanis Morrisette) that he left here whining about sharing carries with Oliveira and now he’s backing up a good, but not great, American.

He is dressed but I'm still not sure that ZC starts or even plays.

I can't speak for irony, but it's certainly Karma taking a big bite out of his ass.

Elks are still mediocre, but they are 10x better with Tre Ford at QB. Chris Jones and his "Ford needs to be better in practice" argument is an idiot.

Chris jones is the worst. I care little for the elks and have middling empathy at best with him at the helm

but I am super happy for Tre Ford. Very likeable and I’m going to cheer for him - he’s talented and always great to see Canadian QB succeed

I don't know about anyone else, but I'm kinda excited to see Dru Brown tonight. This will be the first time he's starting a game with the starters. His only other start came with a myriad of backups and STers.

His only real performances have been early in 2022 when subbed in late on a game winning drive against Ottawa and last game against Edmonton.

In late 2021 he played 75% of a meaningless game where he fumbled his first snap for -25 yards. But that game was mostly backups. And of course his first career start was that game in BC where he went for 3TDs but two pick 6's again with all the backups.

This will be his first real chance with a week of practice with 1's and the team playing for something. A stumbling Stamps team, but one that showed they still have a bit of juice with a win vs TOR a couple weeks ago. Very good litmus test for the young guy. He throws for 300+, 2+TDs and goes the win I'm thinking teams will be lining up to sign him as a starter next year.

I am going to be watching the game, and hopefully Dru Brown is the real thing.
